When you know the route he did, you realize that he takes calculated risks that appear crazy but given his skill and confidence, it decreases the "craziness" of the endeavour by a lot. The 20foot part is all you mentioned which is the height of my balcony and while it is a painful fall you dont really have to worry about dying as long as you know how to land correct, many people can fall 20 feet and not even break anything its a pretty common drop in parkour.

I have been part of SAR teams that recovered the bodies of people from 20-30 foot falls onto rocks so I wouldn't discount a 20-foot drop if you care about remaining alive, much less healthy. With training or good gear, a 20-foot fall is rarely deadly but 90% of the people out in the world do not have parkour training or use the proper equipment.
