Islamic POLYGYNY is nothing like this. Instead, the husband has a totally separate relationship with each of his wives, but the wives are not in any relationship with their co-wives. The husband has to share time and resources equally with each wife.

Some have more needs (desires) than others, and as long as they respect the Divine guidance, which means the man has to provide for each wife equally in finances and in time, there is no problem even if it's mainly for the purpose of satisfying the man's desires, because each of the wives, who agreed to be in this relationship, will have their rights respected. Of course, there is also the cases where the man might take someone as a wife mostly for the sake of taking care of them, but that's not the only case where polygyny is allowed.

I would rather see people be happy than unhappy so I guess it's a good thing for them to experience. There are far too many ugly relationships out there and it disgusts me how anyone can break someone's heart with ease and then they move on to another relationship without looking back or having any remorse for what they did to their girlfriend/boyfriend or husband/wife. I went through so much in my life and the memories haven't faded away I get angry that I didn't get even with some of the guys or that I gave too much like my time, my love, and my money and possessions, some guys didn't even help with the bills and later when I needed help and asked for something I was treated as though I never did anything for that person. I would have a lot of money in my bank account right now if I wasn't so generous and I feel like such a fool because I wasn't happy in the relationships I had because I knew I was being used.

My parents were actually in a polyamorous relationship however there were definitely some issues and in the end my mom ended up being with her current partner, who keep in mind, was previously in said poly relationship.
It becomes a problem when people claim to be one thing and act another. They claim to be Christians yet go against God's laws. However, from a worldly perspective, I wish them the best. But as a Christian, what they are doing is wrong. That's the issue with today's Christians. Is that they don't understand why it's an issue. When she said "when my parents told me this was ungodly, that she was shocked" is a clear sign that she doesn't know the Scriptures. When you become a Christian, you die to yourself and you choose God as Lord over you. You are to no longer follow the passions and desires of your flesh. When you continue to do so knowing that it's wrong, Christ's sacrifice no longer remains for you. That should drive them to repentance but its not. Meaning they're not actual Christians. They just claim to be.

They seem to get along well and match each other's energies so good for them. Certain cultures were poly in the past and some were matriarchal instead of patriarchal so these things have been around for a long time.

Theres definitely jealousy in this "thing". It is impossible to not have a favorite partner. Thats why we have 1 partner and we are the one for our partner. By adding another person into the relationship that should be equal to the other 2, it just isnt able to function properly. I hope all of them realize nobody is doing anybody a favor in the long run. I don't do sex, so friendships are enough for me. I have no need to peel the extra layer unless I want to have kids. That's why I don't judge people's sexual preferences or relationships. I do this because I need that way out to get that alone time. That time of meditation and self reflection that makes me feel like the energy of the universe is flowing into me and I can solve any problem that I pick up. Sometimes I wish I could just go into space and take a one way trip to some other solar system.

These poly relationships require more sophisticated interpersonal communication and relationship management, and they have to be better people as a result. The threshold for a lot of mono relationships seems to be, they stay together as long as they can stand each other.

I don't care what people do with there relationships. What I do care about is poly relationships often use the excuse that there bi so that's why. Most bi people are the exact opposite, only one partner at a time, per relationship. It's fine if people want a poly relationship, you do you, but don't use the excuse that it's because your bi. But as a Christian, what they are doing is wrong. That's the issue with today's Christians. Is that they don't understand why it's an issue. When she said "when my parents told me this was ungodly, that she was shocked" is a clear sign that she doesn't know the Scriptures. When you become a Christian, you die to yourself and you choose God as Lord over you. You are to no longer follow the passions and desires of your flesh. When you continue to do so knowing that it's wrong, Christ's sacrifice no longer remains for you. That should drive them to repentance but its not. Meaning they're not actual Christians. They just claim to be.

I don't care what people do with there relationships. What I do care about is poly relationships often use the excuse that there bi so that's why. Most bi people are the exact opposite, only one partner at a time, per relationship. It's fine if people want a poly relationship, you do you, but don't use the excuse that it's because your bi. It makes other people believe all bisexuals will want more than one partner at a time, or that they will cheat, it isn't fair. I'm bisexual, but I just want one partner.
