For those beginners who have not flown an RC plane, what unit do you recommend as starters to fly and test?
Ok, so I took your advice and purchased a Marlin. So happy I did as it is one of the best planes I've flown since the old Pattern days, I had a $100 Loyalty Reward saved up and took the $20 that Hobbyzone was offering and felt like I stole the plane. It flies solid like a rock and with my mild manner flying I can get four minutes with a good reserve. Thanks for your review and flying demos.

Great plane. I have the marlin, the arrows edge and the fabulously fun arrows viper. Lots of comments saying that they won't consider the marlin as it has no retracts. Each to his own, and I have the freewing avanti which is great, but it cost twice the price. Marlin must be the best value 64mm jet out there with flaps. Just my opinion. Andy in uk.

I like this cheap little jet alot. I bring this or the Sabre as my warm up jet everytime. Hand toss belly land lose the gear. 103mph and sounds lovely. Gave it a paint job, 3200 4s smart lipo, avian 40A esc and an AR631 so I have telemetry. 4 mins of hard flying or 5mins of mixed. Fly close quarters and do loops and rolls right infront of u. Really sharpens your reflexes and skills.
I'm loving all of your content but I can hardly wait for boat week.

Just out of curiosity. Would this fly on a 3S Lipo?
Yes! Easily 👍 Might need to hold throttle a little higher than with 4S but considering I’m cruising at like 60% throttle a lot of the time, I’m sure it could do 3S 😁😎⚓️
@@TheRcSaylors The reason I asked. I have the Habu STS, I already have 3S 4000mah Lipos for it. It will also fly on 4S, but I have not bought any 4S yet.
Im trying the buy the t28 using the link, but it says out of stock and so there’s no way to add it to cart and purchase it. Anyone know a work around?

I used my coupon to get the 1.1m T-28 Trojan. Very sweet plane, 6 minutes on a 3S 2200.

Great plane but that colour scheme can kill. I nearly lost mine on the first flight because I turned and it was cloudy (UK weather right there) and I nearly lost it, the thing went invisible.
But an amazing plane in blue skies 😅

Thats a great cheap jet that has flaps and a rudder. I love mine. Your really comfortable flying it right off the bat. Nice review. Go buy one.
I bought my Arrows Marlin after seeing it on your channel previously. It’s a great 1st EDF! The Marlin has everything I wanted at an affordable price. I don’t want retractable landing gear. The retracts on smaller models, just aren’t tough enough for a grass airstrip.
If I could change one thing about this plane it would be the size. Mine looked so tiny on Sunday, cued for takeoff, with a twin 90mm EDF looming over it from behind. On the other hand it is fun, and very easy to pack into the car.

I'm not into rc planes anymore. Boats don't get destroyed when they crash. 😉. And they always still work fine when they do. 😁😁😁. I've gotten more adrenaline from rc boats. My Vector 80 and my Arrow 5 always makes my heart thump. 😁. You can always drive a boat. I drive my rc boats in the pouring down rain while sitting in my warm vehicle. I could never call my Jeep a car.😂
I like this "jet", but where's the retracts? I have a hard time with Jets that have no retracts.

Great video Nate and Abby. I've always wanted to purchase the Marlin. I was at Hobbyzone when Dan had the first demo model on the counter. It was used for video purposes. I really like this edf. I hold off getting one because I just can't get past the awful looking decals. I keep waiting for a new scheme.
Why let that keep you from buying an airplane? That's what they sell paint and decals for. When I got my FMS 1400mm Cub, I flew it around for a while in that Swiss paintscheme, then painted it yellow and got some decals from Callie Graphics. Use your imagination and maybe give it a Military paint job.
@@PoochAndBoo I've painted various planes in the past. I've spent quite some time, money and meticulous effort to achieve a proper new look. Whether it be military or custom. When it comes to the Marlin, I'll just be patient. One day, Dan may get more of the "blank" versions in again.
