Even if the officer thought you were taking pictures of officers cars in order to find info about them, that would be unlikely, of itself, to fall under the definition of terrorism, and therefore powers under the terrorism Act would be incorrectly applied. (I think you meant sec 58, not 59).

The police get the laws of physics wrong yet again, which is hardly surprising since they often get the laws of the land wrong as well. The auditor was not filming anything in the car park, his camera was filming photons which had left the car park and had entered the public domain. If the police do not want photons which have left their car park to be captured by a camera, or even a human eye for that matter, they should erect a barrier which prevents the photons from escaping and entering the public domain where anyone can legally capture them.

I laughed out loud when the " inspector " made the threat and that is exactly what is was a threat of arrest and then walked away as you recorded them all. Empty threats, false accusations and innuendo don't go down well in a court of law and not one of them knew the law. I liked the part where he told you not to talk to the officer and you basically told him to bugger off. It always amazes me that not once has any auditor who has been illegally searched and or arrested that was accused by the police under the terrorism act has ever actually been charged and prosecuted for terrorism. In fact the only act of terrorism I just witnessed was FROM the police. Sue their pants off for unlawful detainment and search.
It would be great to know how many are searched and how many are charged at each station, under section 43

Worse is if he is suspected of terrorism. Normally you arrest them. Not tell them to leave the area, that is in fact putting the public in danger. That whole "leave the area" blows up the whole terrorism theory
