One of the best films. Paddy Consedine should have an Oscar by now.
Colin Took That movie had too much dark realism for a mass audience. The same could be said for Trainspotting as well.
Grim but beautiful movie. Real little gem. Paddy Considine made a wonderful debut.
Beautiful and powerful movie and a wonderful song that befits it. Could not ask more from the cast.
I was very moved by the movie several years ago and want to watch it again but I will have to steel myself.
@@SELondonUSA I have watched it at least 5-6 times. There are always new details to catch. It is grim, but it is a moving portrait of people at the lower rungs in the Northern UK 20 years ago. I hope things are better now. The performances blow me away. Unbelievable cast. "Dog Altogether" was the short test version for this movie. Its only 20 minutes, but also excellent.
For anyone out there that hasn’t watched this film, bloody watch it!
Peter Mullen is an all-time great.
