thank you for sharing the video .Do you know that Dong Khoi (Uprising ) Street used to called Tu Do ( Freedom) Street and before that is called Rue Catinat . It used to be the No. 1 shopping street in Old Saigon
Nice video! Oh man, i've just booked 3 nights here and selected the "verdant calm double room" and now i'm wondering if this will be located on the side facing the new Hilton Facade. Any tips from your past room research? Hopefully I can get in touch with the hotel to request a room with natural sunlight.
I’m not sure which site you booked with. Would be worth giving them a call just to double check. I know for sure on hotels.com each category without a view specifies “room without view” in the room category name. From a quick look right now, Verdant Calm looks to be the lowest category WITH a view (or well, at least with daylight…). I think you’ll be okay, but can’t hurt to double check. Thanks for watching 🙏🏻
Nice review. Care to answer a general question? I'm planning a 10-day trip to Vietnam and am wondering how much time I should give over to Hanoi and Saigon. From what I've seen in your reviews, I'm thinking 2-3 nights in each would be ample.
I’d be closer to two than three if your total trip is only 10 days. Saigon & Hanoi do not have that many things to see as far as tourism goes and both cities can be more or less coveted in one full or two half days. Only exception would be if you wanted to goto the Cu Chi tunnels in Saigon you’ll need a solid half day for that. Generally I’d say spend as much of your time at the beach or mountains as you can. Thanks for watching 🙏🏻
Thank you for your helpful video - I am planning to visit Vietnam in next month (July, 2022) for three days only, but have no idea where to stay in Saigon.I want a hotel that is located near main attractions, but super clean. Would you recommend this hotel for a short stay? I know you reviewed the hotel in this video and mentioned that it has a great location- but just asking for advice again because I am just conflicted at the moment. Please help.
Yes this is a great location for someone not familiar with the city. You won’t be using public transport so walkability is the key here. Another great choice (similar price) for location is the Caravelle. Enjoy your trip and thanks for watching 🙏🏻
Sorry I liked but forgot to reply ☺️. Was it guest friendly as in good service? It was alright- just about what you’d expect from a VNese 5-Star (read: international 4 star). Fact of the matter is, with just a few exceptions, the hotel scene in Saigon is fairly boring- so, many choose The Myst for its unique aesthetic alone. I reckon the service is not a top priority for the crowd that stays here. Thanks for watching 🙏🏻
I appreciate the thought behind the aesthetics but l think it's just cluttered in my opinion, everywhere not just the room. I was eating a piece of delicious cake whilst watching (as you do) and almost threw up in my mouth at the sight of the hollandaise, no way could l have eaten that ld have to ask for it to be removed and lm not that fussy!! Location would be fantastic and assuming you really only slept there whilst busy sightseeing and ate elsewhere it would be ok. Does anyone know what K circle sells is it a Vietnamese coffee chain haven't heard of that before. Always a pleasure watching your reviews👍

@@tfft Thank you. Very helpful.
No worries, here to help.
Side inquiry; is the Hilton open yet?
It most certainly is not 😅 It’s not even listed on Hilton’s site as “coming soon”.
@@tfft that's interesting. I want to see what they are going to bring
Thanks for the review. We are going to stay there end of July.

@@tfft thank you so much ! your comment and video is a life-saver. You are so cool and nice.
was it guest friendly?
My opinion just from watching is no, but maybe it's improved since then.

Circle-K is a multi national convenience store- similar to 7-11 and the most popular one in central Saigon.
so did you like the food? lol
If I did I’d say it’s time for me to find a new career 😂 Thanks for watching 🙏🏻
