Bloody oath. I saw it when I was 4 (back in ‘85!). Went to see it with my Mum and sister. Mum died a few years ago, and I’ve been in a melancholy 80s/90s nostalgia headspace ever since.
10 years ago I graduated from high school and throughout the ceremony I had this song in my head because I had seen the movie in the morning. Graduating had been very difficult because I suffered a lot of buylling and failed for 2 years, that's why getting it after no one believed in me, receiving the hugs and congratulations from my parents was something very magical, one of the best moments of my life without a doubt. Today 10 years later I am about to become a lawyer, it has been a very difficult road, with several setbacks but I have never stopped trying and I am only a few weeks away from achieving it. This song will be accompanying me also at that time
Josefi2001 Strauss - Congrats! I'm so happy for you. Always remember that bullies have no power over you if you don't let them. If you believe it you can achieve it! I love this song and I think it fits you making your goals comes true! Excelsior!
This song makes me thinks of those innocent times when I was one of those kids playing in the neighborhood. I really miss my old friends and the old neighborhood. Times moved on and so did my friends. I will never forget them or the times we had. You can’t find that in today’s world. It’s so sad. We had it good in the 80s....
I can totally understand that. Great little neighborhood were you knew everyone and it was innocent and fun. At least we had that. My son does not and it absolutely kills me.
When he pushes passed Pamela and goes to Boof. Loved it! This song just hits 80s!!! Gets me emotional thinking back on my childhood. Great memories with my parents. RIP mom and dad
@@djemischief1 haha. “Boof” is the name of his best friend turned love interest. YES!! 2 versions in one song. Amy Holland's vocals and then the person who made this piano sing. I get mix emotions of my early twenties when was married to my "boof" and I wanted other girls. Without realizing that the best that had happened in my life was right before my eyes.😢

Being alone in high school must have been horrible. I wish I knew you so I could have helped. I was one of these weird kids who could make anyone laugh so I was somehow able to be friends with all sorts of people but I was always conscious of those who felt like they needed to be included. I hope you are very well today.

The 80’s was the greatest decade ever! Not only is the movie associated with this beautiful song timeless but it takes you back to a time you never want to leave.... #sendmebacktothe80’s
Loved the 80s and 90s. The films, the music and the world was a better place. Very nostalgic loved the end and rewinding into listen to the music again
@patrick sapanaro exactly, take a pick of those MJ's, for any of them in the years 1984-1985, the statement "MJ was killing it" fits perfectly for any and all of them. MJ's owned the 80's lmao.
Horrendously wore this movie out as a kid and this song always stayes in my head! Imagine it being in my head as I walked across the stage and graduated years later with honors after going through a temultuous childhood and losing so many friends who didnt make it to that day because they had passed. PURE NOSTALGIA AND A BEAUTIFUL CORE MEMORY!❤ #80'SCHILD #WEMADEIT
I remember thinking, when the piano only part started playing, "what is a song of THIS CALIBRE doing at the end of a wacky teen movie? It's just beautiful! Even after all these years, still so beautiful!
Gives my goosebumps. People pull a face at me when i say this is 1 of my favourite movies ever. Loved anything michael j fox was in . As a 6 year old i wanted to be him after watching back to the future . But teenwolf is a classic thats gone under the radar sadly
Agree 10000%! Aside from being a huge Michael fan especially in 1983 but in 84 and 85 too, I love everything about him, I don't care what the critics or other people say when they put this movie down. I LOVE that it went in a teen comedy direction about a kid just getting constantly screwed over by everyone but the three people who always actually cared about him and he has to find out THEY cared about Scott Howard both when there was and WASN'T the wolf. Every werewolf movie I had ever seen up to that point was the same, wolf bite and kept a secret until the guy gets killed at the end. This time it's a great change in it's an inherited gene, hence the transformation is painless and instantaneous and the human is still in control, and Scott is known as and becomes popular as the werewolf until he realizes nobody actually cares about HIM because they didn't BEFORE so he should decide what matters the most to him. My favorite songs are this one and Win in the End, I don't even need to watch the movie to love listening to them:) What irks me too is that although it was inspired by I Was a Teenage Werewolf (which I also like and the wolf design in it is my favorite of any werewolf design) and wanted to include references to it those with the rights to it "didn't want it associated with Teen Wolf" as if it's so much better than TW. I wonder what they thought when theirs was riffed on Mystery Science Theater as 'a cheesy movie, among the worst Pearl can find':)
Michael J Fox has nothing but contempt for this film. He needs to go back and screen it again. It hits subtly, softer and so unexpected. On the surface, it's ludicrous, but in it's execution, it's actually quite a fun memorable ride. And quite emotional! Who doesn't feel lifted when Howard sinks that final shot???!
Well, to be fair, at the time makeup and cosmetics they used to dress up actors into monsters. To make matters worse, at one point he was filming a scene while in the wolf make up and down the street there were this studio crew seeking locations to film some movie about time traveling that was being produced by Steven Spielberg. That was a film that Fox WANTED to be filming rather than this cheesy high school movie about a werewolf. Of course, we all know the ending to this story. Fox did end up being in that other movie and it made him a superstar. Here's a bit of trivia for you. Originally MGM was not going to release this as a theatrical picture. I think they thought about possibly having it as a TV Movie of the Week on some network. I do remember that when I first saw this movie, I saw it on a local TV station and they had scenes that were not in the theatrical cut. When I finally saw the theatrical version I was like, "Why are there scenes missing?" It's not like there were throwaway scenes either. Some of them helped understand the plot better (like when the Fox character tells his father he's not going to be the wolf anymore because he almost killed that guy at the dance). Anyway, back to my story. So when the studio saw what a hit Back to the Future was and the big star Michael J. Fox had become, they decided to take a chance and release Teen Wolf late that summer in theaters. They even marketed the movie as a way to use the hype of Back to the Future to their advantage. You would see ads like, "See the star of Back to the Future become a werewolf" or something to that degree.
Back To The Future? As if that would catch on? LOL! Point is - Teen Wolf is MORE than the sum of it's parts. I want Fox to accept it's actually a good film.
Brian John (BJ) Retro I believe only Michael j fox could only play the parts of teen wolf and back to the future . These films wouldn’t have been the same with anyone else .
first saw teen wolf sometime in mid 2000s when i was around ten years old, watched again in 4K and feels very nostalgic watching this again, also this song brought back many memories from my childhood, great song.

For such a goofy 80s film, the film has a lot of heart and soul to it and a great message about not hiding behind the mask and just giving it all as yourself and yourself alone
Just caught the movie again on Pluto. I wore it out on VHS back in the day as a kid. I’m as big of a movie fan as anyone. Gotta say there really is something about the final 10 minutes of that film that gets me every time. Everything just comes together with the game and the songs and the performances and the editing…etc. I even stick around for the credits to hear the piano. Cheers to all.
When I was a kid and heard this song it was like ok, whatever. Now listening to this as an adult, wow, what a beautiful inspiring song. I must have heard this already 1,000 times today. Lol. Good Stuff! 👍
I loved the movie as a kid, and still do. It's funny that as many times as I've seen the movie, I never knew about the song. I just discovered the song two years ago. I love it. It's so emotional.
One of my favorite 80s soundtrack songs. The music, lyrics, voice and piano instrumental always moved me. In the context of the end scene of the movie ‘Teen Wolf’, it was perfect. The song and soundtrack are not available on Amazon, Apple, or Spotify music. Thank goodness for TH-cam.
Beautiful song nostalgia at its best the piano is surreal and sublime...exceptional infact, all emotions rolled into one...takes me back to the past and future...the good old days and the uncertain but certain future
People that need a real girl like Boof need to be the same...God is love, and true love is respect, selfless dedication, real friendship and life-long willing less to lay down your life for that person. This is why the character of Boof is so needed in this world. The song is a representation of tying up what matters, and what means the most. This is why the piano instrumental finish is so powerful and special to this day.
When I first heard this song you couldn't tell me this wasn't Amy Grant. I thought she was just singing under a different name. Later I looked the song up and found out it really was another Amy -Amy Holland. Both have very beautiful voices. This song should have been nominated for an Oscar!
Oh this film and this soundtrack are pure magic. The first time i watch this film I was smiling during all the day . I was a kid I played basketball. All is said
Love this song. Takes me back to my childhood when I had a crush on a girl in my class. Still gives me goosebumps and makes me stop and just start daydreaming! Thank you for the upload.
El subestimado Me too...they don't make soundtracks like these timeless 80's classics...I also put Top Gun, Rocky, & KarateKid soundtracks up there too..I still listen to all of them to this day.
Wish I was 9 and back in my parents living room watching this on a rented VHS on a Friday night with the whole weekend ahead rather than now old, single and holed up in a crappy apartment waiting out Coronavirus.
STOKED you posted this. Thank you so much. I remember going to the theatre to see this on my birthday as a kid. Win In The End is still one of my all time fav movie songs. They don't make 'em like that anymore. 80's soundtracks were the best.
Man I just watched Teen Wolf.... on Amazon Prime...been watching it since the 90s since I was a little kid I'm 32 now... came to listen to this song since the movie finished.... damn got me emotional! For sure... everyone needs their own Boof!:/ :) :*

Ernie S Yeah, but we’re NOT the same. Everybody’s different. It still amazes me how many people want everyone they meet to be like everybody else. Actually, it’s more tragic than amazing.
This is my probably my favourite film. It's pure joy and this perfectly encapsulates the ending perfectly. Boy gets the right girl, he triumphs by being himself, bad boy loses... Such a good film
PERFECT way to end this movie! Grinning ear to ear...yet I can't help feeling like this is also the perfect song for Nancy Thompson when she would have gotten HER happy ending, the whole Freddy thing and her friends and mom being murdered was actually just a bad dream:)
Yeah. Global Pandemic, no social distancing. No sexual hangups, SJW's, no political correctness, no racial division. People were free to be who they wanted to be. It was a lovely time to be alive. I was only 18 with my whole life ahead of me and anything was possible.
Im 29 i remember like it was just yesterday when my mom introduced me and my brothers and sisters to this classic movie and i will always watch it and play the soundtrack 💪❤🔥💯💫
Too bad there's no ITunes version of this soundtrack....old but good! Puts me at ease doing stretches of my workout & helps me mentally💪🏽🙏🏾God bless uploaders & TH-cam for these music gems.
Kelly. I have the original soundtrack on LP (from 1985) as well as the CD that was released shortly after. Neither have the extended version of this song. I saw someone is selling a soundtrack CD with the extended of this and Win in the End. I'm trying to figure out where the extended versions are sourced from. Any idea?
i am 50 now and i saw this when i was 15. i remember it so clearly. makes me very melancholy
Me too... THE PIANO.

I'm with you Susan

Remember re-rewinding the VHS to hear this over and over again.
I did the same 😊
I still do but on TH-cam video of ending now 👍🏻😂😂

I know, right? I was six when I first saw this in 1986 and at time I attached myself to the older kids two houses down like glue. Good times.

Great film. Greatest era ever. Nothing will beat these classics.

Amaaaazing ballads in the 80s. I always come back to them.
There is a certain romantic even spiritual quality that 80s music and movies captured that has in my opinion now been lost
100% agree!

I have this on DVD. Such a classic. I’m so proud and happy to been born in the 80s. The 90s is my era but I have a true love for the 80s.
Love this. Very beautiful. Never be ashamed of having feelings.
I love this song. I wish I could download it from somewhere.
@knittyad2906 here.convert TH-cam to mp3
Her voice is beautiful
When I first heard this song you couldn't tell me this wasn't Amy Grant. I thought she was just singing under a different name. Later I looked the song up and found out it really was another Amy -Amy Holland. Both have very beautiful voices. This song should have been nominated for an Oscar!
That ascending part at 3:33 kills me, such a beautiful piece.
Bring Back 1985!
You are most welcome! Glad that you enjoy it ... there is a lot of songs that do that to me as well :)
El subestimado Me too...they don't make soundtracks like these timeless 80's classics...I also put Top Gun, Rocky, & KarateKid soundtracks up there too..I still listen to all of them to this day.
The feels of this song takes me way back to my childhood when I first saw this movie and it’s my favourite song in the movie.
Love this song! I love Teen Wolf. Michael J. Fox rocks!
Beautiful song
It is sad how hard it is to find this song.
This is such a beautiful song & it helps calm me down.
One of the best movie songs ever
Teenwolf is a brilliant film. A chunk of the 1980s, and beautiful.
This is one of my most treasured songs. It’s the kind of music I want to write 👍👍
Wish I was 9 and back in my parents living room watching this on a rented VHS on a Friday night with the whole weekend ahead rather than now old, single and holed up in a crappy apartment waiting out Coronavirus.
The piano in this song is one of the best emotional performances ive still ever herd to this day wish i knew who the performer was
I think the piano player is Miles Goodman who has been credited with this song somehow, although Amy Holland wrote it.
It was a perfect fit for the end of this classic film!!
The piano touch my heart.Good song btw.
glad you liked it :)
STOKED you posted this. Thank you so much. I remember going to the theatre to see this on my birthday as a kid. Win In The End is still one of my all time fav movie songs. They don't make 'em like that anymore. 80's soundtracks were the best.
glad that you enjoyed it and you are most welcome! :)
Brings me to place so difficult to reach at times
Hope and belief
Love such songs
The end credits version 👍🏾 I was lucky to grow up on this movie and soundtrack 🙏🏾
Rest in peace Father Howard wolf man
James Hampton R I P Werewolf actor

wonderful song ♥
+Kura Misaki Glad that you enjoyed it :)
yes, i love the song and the movie :)
Man I just watched Teen Wolf.... on Amazon Prime...been watching it since the 90s since I was a little kid I'm 32 now... came to listen to this song since the movie finished.... damn got me emotional! For sure... everyone needs their own Boof!:/ :) :*
Edwin Taveras I always liked Pamela when I was a kid, but when I grew up I realised Boof was so much more attractive (and a kickass chick obviously!).
Edwin Taveras Oh man, don’t get me started. I’ve never found my Boof. Maybe if I’d played basketball in high school I might’ve found her.

Ernie S couldn’t of said it ANY better... 🙏
🎶Missing the 80's🎶
PERFECT way to end this movie! Grinning ear to ear...yet I can't help feeling like this is also the perfect song for Nancy Thompson when she would have gotten HER happy ending, the whole Freddy thing and her friends and mom being murdered was actually just a bad dream:)
Absolutely brilliant song, shame you can’t download it or buy the album anymore.
i wish there was a video of her singing that back in the day. such a happy and sad song all at the same time. i must have layed it 20 times today
Love this song at the end of the movie. Rewinded the ending scene so many times I lost count
❤️ 2020 and I've just watched Teenwolf for the millionth time
One of my favorite 80’s songs.
The 1980s were truly the best times and best music!

I ❤ LOVE 80's 😏
Me to brother ❤
Me too! My favorite decade!!
Ant nothing compared to an original sound Gonna love the 80s 🔥💫💯💪
Too bad there's no ITunes version of this soundtrack....old but good! Puts me at ease doing stretches of my workout & helps me mentally💪🏽🙏🏾God bless uploaders & TH-cam for these music gems.
You are most welcome! I new that a few people other than myself would love to hear these old soundtracks that i have uploaded :)
Kelly. I have the original soundtrack on LP (from 1985) as well as the CD that was released shortly after. Neither have the extended version of this song. I saw someone is selling a soundtrack CD with the extended of this and Win in the End. I'm trying to figure out where the extended versions are sourced from. Any idea?
the 80s , how lucky were we 🙂 ........a time that cant be really explained unless you were there , would go back to it in a heartbeat
I love listening to this song it really speaks to my heart and soul
Movies like these are just timeless they will forever live in my heart
