Teresa accompanies Manuela, who returns to Adelaida's flat. Teresa makes an offer to Manuela. Manuela should travel with Teresa to Italy, to Portofino, she can forget there, she can relax and eventually give birth to the baby. Manuela doesn't know, but she takes some time for deliberation. Aunt Gabriela calms Fernando after the Manuela's speech in the main hall. Suddenly, Cella interupts Gabriela and Fernando in library and tells them, that doctor Villa came with certain urgency. Fernando doesn't want to see him and wants to tell that to Cella, but Villa enters the library and wants to talk with Fernando immediately. Manuela tells her plan to leave with Teresa to Mercedes, who is against, but Art encourages Manuela to leave and Mercedes to accept and understand Manuela's attitude. When Mercedes and Art leaves to other room, doorbell rings and Dorothy comes with packed suitcases for Manuela. Dorothy understands Manuela, she wishes Manuela luck and says quick farewell to Manuela, because she doesn't want to start cry. Fernando and doctor Villa are alone in the library and doctor Villa starts by telling Fernando about death of his wife, Graciela Villa. Fernando shows sympathy, but Villa continues and slowly tells Fernando about his medical career. Villa did an abortion, which ended by death of the girl. Suddenly, Manuela appears and after a short while, she agrees, that she will travel with Teresa to Portofino and Genoa. Leopoldo is making love with Dorothy, but doorbell interrupts him. When he opens the door, he encounters with Fernando. But Manuela isn't there and Dorothy, who left the bed calls Fernando names and sends him away. Art helps to finish the packing of Manuela's suitcases and he encourages her. Mercedes brings Manuela her favourite doll and Manuela with Mercedes make slow and emotional farewell. Fernando searches at the address of Elisa, but with no luck, the furniture is moved. Elisa and Rudy moved to Italy. Fernando drives away. Art says Manuela farewell and Manuela, Mercedes and Teresa leave to the airport. Cella and Felisa watches mad Bernarda, who still calls Isabel's name. Fernando searches for Manuela in Adelaida's flat, where he is welcomed by Art. After a short while, Art tells Fernando, that Manuela is not heading to Caňada Seca, but leaves with Teresa to Italy. After the in vain attempt to chase Manuela, Fernando returned to residence and is resting on the chair in the library. Bernarda comes in and caresses Fernando's cheek.
