- in todays video we are leveling clay we drew down to the bottoms from the site of the shop. we also move the clay along the drain into the middle of the field and clean the drain but the weather has got the better of the job and there was a bit of mucking and tearing

Definitely use the Subsoiler over that entire field. Many of the wet spots will have a hard pack layer that the subsoiler will break up aid to remedy the sitting water. As with any large job, do a little each day and before you know it you will be finished. Also give yourself the best chance of a clean reseed and spray it off again.
Very satisfying to be improving the land
Drain that this year and leave reseeding it till next year. No point in reseeding it and not being able to utilise it because it’s wet

I would be putting a few drains in putting into crop for a few years so you can see if more drains needed. Once you have the drains sorted you could reseed into grass. Would do the field the world of good getting put into crops for a few years

Reseeding is always worth the effort and expense as is topping grass to control weeds and rushes.

I'd pull the drains in it fill them in and leave it settle for the winter the drains will dry it out dig the drains deep and deepen the main drain it will be a grand Field if you stone picked it all aswell

Why don't you pick up your rock piles and use them to to make a lane across that spot you can't drive through. They can only sink so far before that starts to firm up

Run the subsoiler because if you get stuck, it'll make great content. If not, it's still good content.

Phil u must have heaps of stone around the place.would u not dig out the very wet spots and fill it with stone and track it and put ur soil on top.might have some chance.
A second spraying at half rate will really make a job of it
