I live in Idaho, land of almost no turquoise. One day I was in a pawn shop and spotted an old Navajo squash blossom necklace for... $60!!! Unfortunately the man who was also looking grabbed it before I could... nobody here “gets” that turquoise jewelry is an art in itself so it’s easy to find pieces in pawn shops for next to nothing. Thank you for sharing your collection! Who knew vintage southwest wear was so cool.
I have a saddle blanket jacket that I made back in the 80’s when the southwest style was popular. I was so proud of myself, even though I’ve been sewing since I was a child I thought it came out beautifully. The pattern matched so well at the sleeves, collar and seams. I found some silver concho buttons and blanket stitched around the cuffs collar and hem. Sadly it’s a little small for me now but I can’t bear to part with it.
I just saw this lovely video. Your southwest collection is beautiful. I recently bought a vintage tourist jacket in red. Can you tell me how you clean your jacket?

I agree with you about Levis jeans. I never used to wear jeans but was persuaded to try a pair of Levis and found them so comfy and love them.
