    Thank you for this video. My husband recently died and the weeds were out of control. I had never used this equipment before and I got a lot of the weeds gone today. Too hot to do it all but now I know how to use this tool.

    Always good to mention that there's a " Break-in" period. I have the FS56RC and after 3 tanks of fuel it was WAAAAY better/stronger than at first start. Great trimmer for 5 acres.

      @@marionfrieze9718 Sorry for late reply, I haven't been signed in. So, basically the Break In just means or consists of running the trimmer. The more you use it, when brand new, you'll find that it starts running better. Like quicker throttle response, higher RPMs, and most importantly...more power. Same thing with new chainsaws. Usually after 5 full tanks of fuel through it you'll be able to tell. Hope this helps.

    I bought my FS-56 RC- last week and had 1.25 tanks on it. Today, I primed it 5 times, put it in full choke and cranked it on the first pull. I then pushed it down to half choke and let it run there until the rpm stabilized. I then cut with it for 15 minutes, cutting some pretty weedy areas. I am very pleased with it and it is a lot easier to crank than my old Husqvarna 28L. It is running a mix of Stihl Moto Mix and my standard 45:1 Stihl Ultra with premium non ethanol gas.

    I just purchased that same exact unit from my local stihl dealer. It works great as advertised! Awesome power!! The only thing I’m struggling with is getting the trimmer line to feed properly. I’ve had to stop every 10-15 min or so to open the head and pull out the line. Any suggestions on how to successfully use the bump auto feature??

    • @WesternEquipment
      @WesternEquipment  ปีที่แล้ว +2

      The thing I see the most is when too much line is wound into the head at once. Then you start to get hangups, so just be very cautious and precise on putting the correct amount of line into the head. This varies on whichever head you are using so make sure and follow the recommended amount when you are refilling your line.

    Hello. Great demo & review, thank you. I just got the FS56RC-E & was wondering if a rattling noise when idled on the ground is normal? When I set the line trimmer on the ground there is a rattling noise that sounds like its coming from the shaft at idle speed. Other then that it seems great. Runs fine & goes away when I give it gas. I was wondering if this is normal with this model because my previous trimmer was a FS80 & doesn't make this noise.

    • @WesternEquipment

    • @WesternEquipment
      @WesternEquipment  3 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      Awesome, I hope you like it! So when you notice no more string is coming out when you bump then head on the ground it is time to take the cover off of the head and see if you are out of string or if it is just broken off. This could be a few different issues. I could be a fuel issue as in the machine may be pulsing so it could be your fuel filter or carburetor. Another thing is the plastic sleeve inside the shaft that protects your drive cable could be worn causing that drive cable to be flopping. Also you might check the screen on your muffler because it may be clogged causing your machine to have a hard time breathing. I hope this helps and thanks for watching!
