You ever see those pictures of mowers with tilted wheels, a scoop, turbos and fucking under glow? This reminds me of the first stages of those pictures.
This was so awesome. You really can see the vision of something from nothing and can turn it into an amazing toy for your kids. These are the memories they will have for all their life. Well done.
You had me right up until you started making parts on your owned lathe. The average DIY guy doesn't have half the tools you do It came out great though and you are awesome fabricator. Well done!!
I know this is old, but a person could make these parts with a drill and a file, a bench press and a vise, hand tools even. Tiny hobby lathes are inexpensive and would handle this. It's not like the gentleman has a million dollar machine shop. He has some basic and a few extra tools. If you think you have the skill to diy a go kart, what makes you think you won't need some tools?
Definitely added in post. I can appreciate that he gave the extra effort to provide a more comfortable experience for his viewers. I'm watching on my phone and my screen gets BRIGHT. Not that it would have done any damage but I still don't feel like straining my eyes any more than I already do lol

Cool idea. Those kids are in heaven . I hope the fun lasts though. Those transaxles usually have brass or soft metal worm gears that are meant to wear down.
