- Luke Holland, 20 years old! I'm from Peoria, Arizona. I absolutely love The Reign of Kindo, this is my 2nd cover of them. I wanted to do a more relaxed video, less-exciting cinematography & more basic camera angles, & a song that has a very chill vibe. I had a few minutes left in the studio & decided to film this cover, this was very last-minute & on the spot. This one goes out to my buddy Steven Padin!

Reign of Kindo is actually one of the most underrated bands to ever exist. Follow them on all social media and buy their albums, it's an entire band of music savants!
This song has a level of complexity that I can’t even imagine.
Dude I love the Reign of Kindo. If you’re not already a fan, you should check them out. Their older stuff is their best, but that’s just my opinion.
It's actually not that hard to figure out what's going on in the parts (except the part starting at 4:00) but man.. It burns your right hand UP, and it's alot of coordination keeping your left foot going through most of the song and swapping to cross stick alot.

Amazing dude. I love the solid pocket, the room you gave for the song to breathe, the kit didn't sound too edited this time either and the snare sounded more natural not fake, your best cover hands down. Less is more and you proved that today. Nice work brotha! God bless.
lol! didn't sound too edited? can you even hear his toms? not downing his playing at all. But, saying that this didn't sound edited is crazy. Maybe it's just me, but I can hear samples layered on everything but cymbals. Real drums don't sound like this. Anyway, great cover as always.
Benjamin Corona That drum set is custom built and top of the line, it is very possible that his drums sound THAT amazing. I'm not saying it isn't edited, but I don't think it's as edited as you think it is.
Sounds heavily compressed but it doesn't take away from his playing at all, fantastic drummer!
Benjamin Corona I agree with you. But it was way better than his other editing stuff. I wanna see covers of people NOT editing everything about drums on the videos. Seriously..

If you love The Reign of Kindo, you should hear thier previous project This Day & Age. Specifically the album " The Bell and The Hammer". Just so you can get a true representation on how much they have evolved all the way up to " Happy However After". My favorite musicians of all time.

I love the double-time hi-hat chunks of the song... it's like you can FEEL the energy building up to that sweet instrumental section near the end

I have been a fan of this guy for about a year and I can honestly say that he is absolutely one of the best drummers I have had the pleasure of listening to. I can only hope to be as good as him. Very good stuff Luke keep going.

This is probably the best his DW kit has sounded since we've heard it. Even though I'm a huge Remo fan and I love that he switch, the sound of these drums are perfection. Love it:D

My jaw has been dropped Luke! I've used your video to write down the drum part for myself to learn this song and oh damn is the beginning beat of the song challenging!! If not you, I don't think I would ever end up learning such a great song!! I didn't really appreciate your drumming covers too much, though over time you have begun to grow on me. I enjoying watching your covers with every update you make. What made me find you was through your "TROK - Hold Out - Luke Holland Cover" Thank you for covering my favourite band they really deserve a greater audience and I think this helps people find them through this. I know this song inside out from listening to it like a billion times and I noticed the complexity during 1:37 - 1:39 It is really tough sneaking that through man, the percussive skill it requires for a drummer to smash through that beat is insane, nonetheless each cover you do really does get better :) keep up the amazing work and look forward to seeing your progress over the years.
