I could not have said it better…..Iv found myself having the worst day possible but when I throw on a new Cleetus video and just relax I always smile at some point….. my favorite video is when Cleetus broke into the 7s with leroy the excitement was coming thru the tv
agreed brother, i had a really bad surgery earlier this year and being basically bed ridden for 2 months i binge watched Cleetus videos and it just seemed to make it easier to lay around and heal. It just put me in a great mood everytime.
Love to see some exposure to the dark side, can’t wait to see what that 7.3 does when they start adding boost to it

From a boosted ford guy here, been watching for years and can appreciate any fast build. And can definitely say that yeah, y’all need a coyote! They make INSANE power with low boost, and rev to the MOON! Hell yeah brother, keep up the awesome work!

That's that dual overhead cam life. The kinda motor that gets out of it's own way. Definitely not as simple as that LS life but.... Gotta give credit where credit is due
Yep. There's a reason DOHC was developed. It is the superior tech, it's just more expensive and complex than your average backyard wrenchmonkey wants to deal with.
How is it not as simple as the LS life when you can run stock shit to the same level as a built LS?
@@fiddynutz68 You clearly have never opened up a DOHC V8, because you wouldn't be asking this question.
The coyote is actually a pretty simple DOHC engine compared to alot of other manufacturers DOHC engines(including GMs) They go together nice with very little special tooling. Most guys with mod motor experience can build one just as easy as an LS guy can build an LS.

Ive been a Chevy guy my whole life. Owned my first 5.0 in a Mustang and now In my F150. The coyotes are amazing engines.

Sam knew how to get the corn cobs carburetor set up right, after that they only wanted him to touch it
He may not be one of the mechanics in the shop, but he definitely has some mechanical knowledge in him!

As an LS guy, I’ve always had a healthy respect for what a boosted coyote can do. The coyote, NA, seems to be a bit gutless by comparison to my LS7. (I know, I know, 2000cc more displacement, etc. I know.) But throw some boost behind a coyote, and it does some really awesome things.
This is what you get when the bore and stroke are the same on the 5.0.

10 speed transmission is absolutely unreal, I have a Corolla SE with the 10 speed auto and it’s like driving a cloud, absolutely crazy smooth. Perfect commuter imo
I just love how genuinely proud Sam is of all the different problems he solved with each one his products he invented, that's a man of passion. Its no wonder he make any car look like a show piece with just a wash and wax, I can't imagine what a full detail by him would look in person..

Technically the 5.0 isn’t a true 5.0, more like a 4.9 but none the less, the 4.6 is by far my favorite engine

I honestly think Mr Sam is some form of AI the man is just a machine built of the most amazing moving parts, and such a great person for the team….. I don’t believe that he sleeps at night he just buffs and polishes for his rest, and helps everywhere else in his spare time. Mr Sam is like the liquid terminator he just keeps coming and you can’t stop him

My duramax truck starts in 2nd gear when not in tow haul mode. 7th is direct drive. It is always in the right gear, even when pulling a 14k pound trailer. 10 speed is king and I will bet it is really fun behind that hopped up gas engine. In the duramax with the banks derringer and pedal monster, it is amazing how hard it pulls and yet it does it so effortlessly and quietly.
Gotta love the coyote! I have a 2019 GT with a 10 speed I'm waiting on boosting. Just need the funds. Thanks for the wholesome content. You and the crew seem like genuinely good dudes. Keep Killin it man!

@@sidsideways2828 the more ratio you have the more frictional losses you have. Trust me. I know this from my own 10 speed. You can't dyno a lot of them in 7th because of the limiter and have to dyno in 6th. Remove the limiter just in itself and re test in 7th. It WILL dyno higher.

I assume he trades in the Raptor.. gets a 2023 5.0 or Raptor R 5.2 supercharged, 5.0 most likely cheaper even after bolting on a charger. All 2023 are 10 speed. hoping he goes this rout, much more relatable with the viewers.

The coyote engines just breathe so good with the decent heads ford built for them, the stock cam profile responds well to boost applications and they rev out pretty far.
Run it with the high power pulley.

The trans didn't put down any more power it's the converter he went with.. those guys know what they're doing with that combo

Before my accident I used to race a vega wagon that had a built 632 in it. That truck would feel so good to drive!
It would be crazy to see what that eng/trans combo would do in that fox body.
A bone stock NA Coyote in a Fox will run mid 10's. High 8's at bare minimum, probably faster.
If it's a small trans then that's what cleetus was hinting at!

Cleetus, I'm pretty sure your Raptor will shift (manual mode) like that also. At least my first gen Whipple supercharged Raptor does. It shifted at redline when I forgot I was in manual mode not auto.
I don’t know about American cars, but European cars all shift at red line in Manual mode.

One thing I hate about living in rocky Canada out in the country is the water is so hard, its impossible to wash a vehicle and not get water spots without hours of buffing and waxing. Looks great when its wet, half hour later it looks worse then when you started.
If you got the extra cash try one of those in line hose filters for hard water to help keep the car clean, think you only gotta use it on the final rinse really so that last an ok amount of time.
That tire shine stuff that doesn’t rub off is cool. And Sam’s sales demo is great!
