DAMN this is INCREDIBLE, how could I ever even think to doubt you Noel?!
Equally as brilliant as the Original mix but this is just a different production, classy. 22 years on still fresh as a daisy. One of the most underrated songs on one of the most underrated albums ever.
Chris Dumbaugh Well, i recorded with Owen Morris when i was doing some session guitar work for something, he produced this album and by all accounts, most of the bass on albums was probably replaced by Noel at some point by the time the recording process was finished. At least when Guigsy was in the band anyway.
+Lenny Henry interesting makes sense. As someone who does session recording I'm sure you appreciate the frustration the band might have had when having their work superceded by a perfectionist Noel. We used to get beaten up quite regularly. However, once you were 'down', the blows would more or less stop. The sort of OTT violence that's around nowadays wasn't nearly so prevalent back then amongst younger kids. Yeah, if you were still in middle school.
This GETS you high
I need to get my hands on be here now. It’s the only oasis album I never pick up anytime I’m at a record shop
I like how the strings are more promenent
0:44 brilliant lead guitar intro... I'm 16 again! Nice one, NG! Makes the original single kick me in the arse again! Thank you!
Idk which version I like more. They are both incredible in different ways. This version sounds a little more "spiritual" to me
Just when Noel couldn't get any better he smashes it again...
Crucial difference is the bass and orchestra has been brought out a lot more. Much better than the original.
I queued up outside Woolworth's in Notting hill gate waiting for the original to come out on the day the album was released. Where are those days gone. I'm excited about the new version.
amazing mix, clear strings sound & themes which are perfect and of course more groovy!!
woah, that strings
WHAT THE FUCK this is phenomenal
lyrically this album really is incredible in places. Noel will revisit it I'm sure.
