Awe love the prayers always a must at our table. My husband had lamb in Jerusalem but I haven’t had it yet, he said it’s wonderful. As always love y’all’s videos so much. 💕 and yes Ron can do anything so talented!
Debbie I am from Australia and still here and lamb was a staple of most Australian homes. Lamb chops during the week and a roast leg of lamb with roast vegetables and gravy or a mint jelly to go with it. Now we send most of our lamb to export and we have some of the best lamb in the world apparently. I have never tasted gaminess in lamb not once in all my life and I am 65 now. Lamb is a farm "domesticated" animal right along side of beef and pork. I've had goat before and didn't find it real gamey not like wild rabbit in rabbit stew. Goat should be slow, slow cooked and it is some of the tastiest meat out there. You just have to want to experience different foods. Michelle
It's not just that it's hot and humid, but you are in period clothes in the woods. Really makes us glad air conditioning was invented. Why do you not talk us thru the cooking on the Early American channel? I love all your videos I've seen, thanks so much for sharing with us.

Our neighbors gave us a croquet set and my whole family learned. I love croquet !!❤❤ The ' hoops' are called wickets. There's also mallets and stakes. You set it up in a circle with one wicket at the center of the circle. Your starting point and the one directly across each have 2 wickets to go through. The rest have one.
The casserole looks amazing! Croquet we used to play on picnics years ago, like horse shoes, many games have been forgotten. We weren’t rich, but knew how to have fun!
Dear Youngests, this looks delicious! But every time I see you moving the Coles around in the fireplace you remind me of my Great Great Great Grandmum. I am 99 and I remember seeing Grand mum working in the fireplace. And your oven , were do you put your wood ? But I remember at Great Great Great mums house having an out oven, but it was in a shelter connected to the storage room in Great mums house. It snowed there and so the oven could not be outside. Thank you both again!
I like watching your show you you kids remind me of an old couple just so comfortable together. Justine they always did say way to a man's heart is through his belly and I think you got Ron belly tied.
I love lamb chops! My mother would salt and pepper them and cook in a cast iron skillet….just delicious! The last time I had some, we were on an unscheduled layover in New Zealand waiting for our plane to arrive to go to Perth, Australia. The airport fed us from a buffet. I spotted lamb chops prepared exactly like my mom’s, so I embarrassed my wife by getting g 10 of them with nothing else other than a drink! Oh, they were so good!
I want to make this now. It looks so, so good. Even though it's 100 outside, the small breeze helps to at least move the air around. The stagnant heat is awful.
We had a croquet set when I was a kid so fun and then as married we had a set too! Last year we gave our croquet set to our neighbor kids Family. Patricia

So much fun to watch! I've also gotten a few cooking ideas from watching their videos... However, I 'm perfectly content to cook with my modern technology 😋. I always wondered how they did the daily routine stuff before all the modern conveniences. Really exceptional work you guys!
The summer is why so many pioneers built porches on their cabins. It gave shade and a place to work outside of the cabin. Your outside oven and a "campfire" would be most often used cooking places. You need to get Ron to build a roof over the oven and the fire ring so you have shade and some protection from rain. Ron, you ought to hold a shoot sometime. If you remember the prizes were a butchered ox, it's hide and tallow. Since there are so many wild pigs you could shoot for the pork, hide and lard.
Watching this video today reminded me of when my family used to go camping in the mid late 60s and 70s. We all love the outdoors, and my stepmother had to be pretty innovative to figure out ways to feed five hungry kids, and my dad, and whoever else came by the campsite. I wish she were still here and I could share some of your tips and techniques with her. She would have liked that! She cooked a really good stew in her deep iron pot with a lid on it. But she put a layer of biscuits on top of the stew and piled ashes and coals on the lid and all around the base of the pot. I knew when she started playing in the fire that we were in for something good. She even baked a pie like that one time. Anyway, you all look like you're having so much fun, despite the heat. Blessings to you both! 🥰👍
Such a hot day to eat outside Ron loved lamb; I will make that at home in the dutch oven yumm - on a colder day though lol chickens are such funny creatures.

But seeing your smiles, and listening to your chat and prayer of gratitude, was so nice! I hope you can find the time to cool off by swimming. They didn't have bathing suits back then, did they?

I look forward to your shows every week. It's become my ritual to watch you guys after work. You always bring a smile to my face. I've actually made one of your recipes not too long ago (the smothered steaks one) and my family loved it! Love you guys! Keep up the awesome work. I look forward to next week. :D
So glad you were able to eat out doors. I feel bad for you to be in all the heat with the fire going in the house. Thanks for another enjoyable video. We love sharing your dinner time with you.,
Another amazing meal and in that heat too. I would have eaten outside as well. It was real pretty to see. I'm not a summer person, can't take the heat. I more enjoy the fall as I would have more energy plus bonus..less bugs 🤗
if you guys are loving these videos.... you gotta try building things with your own two hands. workbench, fire pit, barbeque pit, little bit of free-standing deck. satisfying
When we lived in Arkansas we always cooked outside in the summer! We had a roofed area, and a charcoal grill, and it worked great! Much cooler than the house as we did not have air conditioning
Well, you guys must really like this dish your just chowing down on it!! I remember having a lamb roast at Easter one time the only way I could eat it was because we had mint jelly served with it! It had a very strong taste that I didn't care for.

The lam and potato casserole looks great.I have never had lam.Planning on eating lam.like Ron's oven he made.the temperature hear has been in it's 90s the humidity makes it a104 and 107 here in Kentucky.I have worked outside in the temperature s.David Back.
Okay, now I see where the outdoor oven came from! Very nice.
Another wonderful show and as I said I always enjoy your shows. God bless you both. Nth Queensland Australia 🇦🇺 ♥
Wish you made a video of the oven being built.it looks great
All the lamb I've had was seasoned with rosemary. So good!
Lol I love watching the chickens walking by and hanging out with you while you eat. Such a beautiful and colorful setting to enjoy food in.
Thank you again 😊 I can't get enough of your videos.
We love sharing your dinner time with you.,
I enjoy these videos. Your cooking videos are very relaxing. Keep making them. God bless you both.🙏
Another amazing meal and in that heat too. I would have eaten outside as well. It was real pretty to see. I'm not a summer person, can't take the heat. I more enjoy the fall as I would have more energy plus bonus..less bugs 🤗
Same here!! And the older I get the more I hate the heat. Gimmie fall and winter anytime
Thanks!
Thankyou so much!
if you guys are loving these videos.... you gotta try building things with your own two hands. workbench, fire pit, barbeque pit, little bit of free-standing deck. satisfying
Really enjoyed watching this and all of the vids you all do. Please keep them coming. Love learning about the old ways.
Beautiful job with the casserole we like when you guys go outside and do stuff
When we lived in Arkansas we always cooked outside in the summer! We had a roofed area, and a charcoal grill, and it worked great! Much cooler than the house as we did not have air conditioning
Like the oven bake. Nice to be sitting outside with nature. Casserole looks delicious.
My family plays croquet at every family dinner. We have two sets. One for the adults and one for the littles.
I love you guys! I can always count on a laugh and happiness when I watch you two
I played croquet with my grandparents. I enjoyed it as a kid
One of my favorite episodes.
Justine lamb is great when cooked well... You should try other recipes when you can !!!
Well, you guys must really like this dish your just chowing down on it!! I remember having a lamb roast at Easter one time the only way I could eat it was because we had mint jelly served with it! It had a very strong taste that I didn't care for.
