While the new switch arrives, can I rave with a traditional or switchable switch? I am checking and I see that it is a micro switch that opens and closes a circuit, it is not resistive.

Had a boot switch problem.

What was the issue? How did you find out that it was the switch? My tail gate doesn’t open when i unlock with key how to know if its switch problem?
@@mdabdulmoiz do you solved it? I changed the switch and the tailgate lock, but with the central locking it did not close or open the tailgate.... Dont know what it can be
car i bought was flooded so after through checking came to know BCM was faulty its an expensive thing so i did not change it@@robinsteck4666

I ordered this trunk release switch from Boodmo, I replaced button in my grand i10.
Button is working fine, when I"m holding car's remote key near to it and pressing this trunk switch.
But If I'm standing at some distance from car and trying to unlock trunk of my car, from car's remote by pressing & holding button on remote, then car's blinkers is blinking but trunk is not opening. Anyone has any idea, why its not working from remote key button? but working when key is near to trunk switch and then pressing this trunk switch.
Is your problem solved?

Hi Julio, very useful video indeed, but i wonder why you have to cut the cables and use the old connector, the new switch is not compatible with I10 100% ?

Hi Jose, Because I purchased the wrong end of the switch. I purchased the male port instead of the female port that's why I cut and connect to the old one.
If you purchased the right port, no need to cut the wires. :)

Hi, i have a 2012 elantra, the trunk switch is working but when you press it from outside it couldnt open. i can only open the trunk from the inside using the lifter or using the key fob. can you help me on how i can open using the trunk switch from behind the trunk
Maybe your trunk switch are not working. Try to replace it.

@@TechJuliohelllo sir. Am using asta i10 2019 model... The issue is, Dicky is opening, as well closing, but it's not locking... Always accessible (even if I try with my remote key)

Just take care while washing.. it will be just fine.. used it like that without rubber for 2 yrs.. only problem is that new person who are not familiar with my car were not able to locate the small button and open it.
