I know someone from Oklahoma who is very into Waymarking, but it's very non-existent around me. There are a bunch of listings but no activity in many years. Maybe this is the way Adventure Labs should go, managed by Groundspeak but separate from geocaching. You do a nice job with your video intros & b-roll, it looks like you put some care and effort into that, nicely done.
Cheers Mate, I think Adventure Labs survive because they are 'Counted' as finds. The same would happen if Waymarking were counted toward your tally. Although what would be the difference to Waymarks and some virtuals? The website is very 2000's and would need an update if it where to move forward.
Hahaha, Thanks to our 'Spin off" Geocaching listing (Geocaching Australia) they are listed as their own Virtual Cache, so they are all listed on Waymarking too.
That looked like one hell of a walk! Very cool video but unfortunately waymarking just doesn’t look like it’s for me. Glad there is this game out there though 👍 thanks for the education 🙂
lol I have my waymarking video coming out Tuesday as well since there is not a lot of benchmarks in Canada, there is a couple just this side of the US,Canada boarder, which says they are us benchmarks but are here in Ontario , Waymarking is a afterthought for me, usually after going on a trip , and putting in my caches, I will check to see if there was any waymarks around where I was, and if I took pictures of it. I've found 178 now , and have put out 17 of my own , A app would help if they did a little bit of work updating the site , and get a app out there, I think it would be popular , I do think they got a little carried away with category's though, sub shops, restaurants and other things like this are a little to much and devalues the game
Super informative!! 👏👏👏
Thanks Mate, I had to do some research on this one. Haha

No benchmarking here either in Canada ;) Thanks for the video! Really cool
Cheers Mate
Oooh you made one too, nice! Now find an Australian survey marker and list it on waymarking :)

I know it’s 8 months later but Nick now has an iPhone app for this called Waymarkly! Great video btw!
Hahahaha, I just did the Waymarkly video. 🤣🤣🤣
Thanks for the pointers! I found my first benchmark because of this challenge. Will I find more? ... maybe.... :P
Hahaha, Geocaching has me busy.... hahaha
@@TheAussieGeocacherSeemyshell Same here. That and Pokemon Go with The Kid. I don't want to get involved with another GPS game. LOL!

I hear you, I can see me using this website to see some cool locations in order to place a 'real' cache. Hahaha

I feel the same mate, there are way too many sub-headings. and loads and loads of businesses. All with old photos and not a very good updated website.
And yeah, I'm a web programmer and Waymarking website really needs a 2021 redo. By the way, I'm on Android and didn't find a Waymarking app
The website feels like I'm on a commodore64. Hahaha. Arghhh in this day and age, if there is no app, it's not good.
