Not really. There is less difference between men and women in table tennis than in tennis, football, basketball, handball... A few years ago Liu Guoliang (head coach of the Chinese Men's National Table Tennis Team) said that the women players of China A team would give a really hard time to China B Team (the members of China B Team are among the best 100 players of the world...). Zhang Yining once participated in a tournament with men and won it. In one of her match she beat Błaszczyk who was around the 50th place in the men ranking at that time... I am quite sure the top 5 in the women ranking would be at least in the top 100 of the men ranking if they could compete against them in the WTT events. Compare that to Serena Williams who got completely steamrolled by a professional tennis player who was around the 200th place in the men ranking...
