Thank you for this! I'm in the process of migrating to LPX from another DAW and no matter how experienced one is with another environment, reworking expectations and habits is never straightforward. And, the LPX user guide, though definitely not the worst I've seen, is somewhat lacking in visual cues. This is an exceptional tutorial. I would also like to see a tutorial on how to use LP with web conferencing or podcast to add effects or improve voice sound. Then another on how to pipe computer sound such as youtube and spotify through LP.

I am getting logic but only want to use for vocals . I will not be making any instrumentals as I’ll download them online . I’m guessing I’ll just have to upload the instrumental , record my vocals then learn how to mix and master ?? Know it won’t be that straight forward just want to put all my effort into learning how to do this

Hi, I have an EDIROL PCR-300 midi keyboard (bought years ago) and I just installed Logic Pro X on my new MacMini M1. I can't find a driver on Roland's website to download for M1 chip Macs. Has anyone been in this situation? Any ideas? I don't wanna buy a brand new controller :(

Agreed. I used (still do until I figure out Logic a bit more) FL Studio for 6-7 years and there's just too much choice for me. 6 different ways to do 1 thing was fun at first but it gets in the way. Why not just 1 or 2 easy ways to do the same thing? Assigning mixer tracks is fun until I'm thinking so much about how I want my mixer tracks to be arranged that I'm not making music.
One of my biggest surprises with starting to use Logic Pro is how the shortcuts actually make sense and give me immediate access to key features. Pressing "X" to go to mixer is 10x more convenient and easy to do than pressing f9 to go to mixer. The workflow actually helps me, and I'm not working against it.
This isn't even to mention that Logic gives you tens of thousands of samples for free, and tons of powerful instruments and effects out of the box.

I'm on a new MacBook and when I open LPX it goes straight to the project so I can't make a new one. I've tried restarting and updating the app but it won't by default go to the first page shown in this video.

How is this any different than GarageBand? Like, what’s the advantage to buying Logic over GarageBand?
