This way of making music so far from away my method of sitting down with a guitar and writing a song, it's crazy. But to deny the musicality or creativity would be insane. Very well done and very inspired!! Respect from this old dude in New York!!
Music isn't based on electronics and to sugar coat the voice, and all else. It's about the heart and soul, unplugged acoustic is my fave... Real musicians need nothing to help them audibly... It's true Musicianship to move others In a good way.. Inspiration.heart and soul.
So I came back multiple times to watch this. Rachel, your vibe is endlessly contagious 🖤🖤🖤 This piece of music should be released somehow if it hasn’t been already. I’d buy it. Love, Frank
most musicians take weeks and months to put something together like this. the fact that she did this all live, on the fly, and in one take is incredible. good job rachel!!
I'm such a miserable git who hates nearly everything but even I found this performance amazing, so my question is, who the heck disliked this video? Madness!
I disliked it; watching someone twiddling on a 707 doesn't impress me; anyone can do that, even someone who can't play shit on a keyboard, and can she play a proper keyboard? Does she have any keyboard qualifications? You can play a 707 with two fingers. So here's the middle finger of both my hands to you, boyo. I must add that she sings well,
mel obrien I have to agree with you, there really isn’t a great deal happening; just her singing over a boring bass line with loads of textures thrown over the top to hide her lack of musicality! I have seen her play keys in other videos of hers but it’s pretty basic stuff.
Well that sounded awesome! I'm puzzled at how the unit get all the sounds in the first place, and how she accessed everything. It's totally over my head, but the result is amazing.
EDM is not my thing either, but talent is talent and this was sick. Honestly I had no idea how those kinds of tracks were put together so seeing/hearing in real time was a learning experience. Well done!
Great stuff and beautiful vocals! At first I followed her because of the vocals, but she's all around really talented. Rachel, keep it going and at Andertons Music Co you too!
Each to their own, not my sort of music, but best of luck to her. I was reminded of about ten years ago, I gave my nephew a CD to listen to, he thought it was fantastic and made copies for his mates. I eventually told him it was me, his 60 year old uncle. It took me 10 mins to make, with a korg synthesiser and Alesis drum machine. He was not happy.
Learning I guess. Thats the interesting thing about these devices there is no clue whatsoever how to do anything, it takes time, practice and a logical sort of brain combined with an ear as to how noises are converted into music.
Well, all the pads have diatonic chords, so you hit whatever and it sounds ok. Then it's ease at the price of creativity of course, since you fall in the I-III-VI or I-IV-V-VI cliché like she just did.
HELLO, I ASK YOU WHO ARE EXPERTS (I AM NEOFITE), I WANTED TO KNOW (BEFORE BUYING IT THE CHOICE MUST BE BETWEEN MC AND VERSELAB), I HAVE THE ARTURIA ANALOG LAB AND VARIOUS SYNTH, ALWAYS OF THE ARTURIA INSTALLED IN MY MAC , CAN I PLAY, RECORD, WORK WITH THE STEP SEQUENCER, WITH A MIDI KEYBOARD CONNECTED BOTH TO THE PC AND TO THE MC OR VERSELAB ??? I WOULD LIKE TO EXPLOIT ALL ARTURIA SOUNDS AND BE ABLE TO CREATE MUSIC WITH THOSE SOUNDS. THANKS IN ADVANCE FOR THE REPLY
but there are three different machines she has going on not just the mc-707. false advertising. at 2:30 you can see 2 rolands and an elektron in the back left all running simultaneously
Am i the only one who thinks this was very basic? I've just bought the 707 ther other day and have yet to dive deep into it and figure it out. Wasn't really impressed with the preinstalled samples. I would like to get rid of them and install my own.. Does anyone know if this is possible?
I wouldn't pay to see this live. Sorry to be negative ... but tools like this are killing bands... musicians are losing the ability to work in harmony due to all the tools like this that "create" harmony for them. The whole point of playing music is that it's a collective group experience and is made better by the contributions of others. Now a busker on the street can strum one chord, hum one note, and play one beat and suddenly they're being praised as genius...I would have loved to have seen how that gorgeous Rickenbacker behind her could get worked into what she was doing...this music is too much head in the clouds not enough feet on the ground...
Where's the guitars? Where's the Dutchy? Where's the caramel tanned Captain? Who TF are these guys!?!?! Is that...no wait....TECHNO!?!?!?! What am I? High on Ecstasy in the Sound Factory circa 1997? or Limelight circa 1987? W T F is going on here? and who is this Limey?

It's still the same. She has to still "make" the music similar to writing it, split it into loops and then play that live.

Love watching RKC perform Stay Wild, I think it has the most option for the most dynamics and variation in Rachel’s performances.

I love Rachel so much she's an amazing artist 😊
The cat on the desk goes for it! Full blast! Loved that - thank you, Andertons!

I'm still vibing to this in August 2021! 🖤
That was a great performance. She's a talented woman
I'm such a miserable git who hates nearly everything but even I found this performance amazing, so my question is, who the heck disliked this video? Madness!
Probably the people who want to see the same guitar riffs over and over again.

Very nice. Thank you. Most people don’t know how many things you musically need to keep balanced in you head to do this. Very nice and well done.

Superb stuff. Rachel is amazing, so much talent! All that AND the voice to go with it :)

Has a bit of Underworld-vibe to it. Would be nice to see her play shows with those lads sometime.
What a great performance ! I made it with my kids on Garage band 20 years ago 🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣
RKC 🔥🔥🔥kills it every time 😎🔥👏👏👏👍🏻🥂

Good lord! I would love to see you live at a stage set right at dusk
Wow, that's certainly a lesson in knowing your gear.

Thanks for tuning in Martin! It was a pleasure having Rachel on the show.

If they are gonna go that route, they should get Marc Rebillet in there:)

Soooo goooodd
Hello
Dang!!!!
Sweet 🤟
Techno-pop meets Hip Hop. A different way of making "music." Not my thing but she does it very well.
if she lived in Australia, I'd hire her in a heartbeat. j.

If Nils Frahm and Imogen Heap had a daughter....
Beckoning cat knows.
Bye for meow🤩
haha, my thumbs up was actually number 707 :D
I seriously dislike contemporary pop music, but Rachel is great! Shame that in the pop biz usually fame is inversely correlated with talent :(
This is pop?! I might need to get back to listening to pop again if this is what pop sounds like theses days.
Personally I need an amplifier to be myself, but this was some sick talent.
“Jaw dropping” probably isn’t the phrase I’d use here.
Any relation to Jacob? Great performance.
The lady is tops
She's awesome. Could do with less cutting back and forth between the performance and the presenter perhaps?
Damn girl can even program a rock and the beat is still a 🔥
Do a blindfold pedal challenge through an affordable solid state amp to see if it is worth buying expensive pedals if your amp isn't

Well that sounded great.
Quality video editing too. Also the Japanese cat thing was cool but it wasn't in time.
Roland will always be the Headless Thompson Gunner to me.

Yes you can load your own samples
@ do you own the mc 707? If i delete all the files off the sd card will that delete all preset files for the built in synth?
housebrigade, no , if you delete all the files of the sd card you can use preset sounds. Just factory projects will be deleted.
And that ladies and gentlemen is how to sell a product.
I could have sworn I clicked on Andertons guitar channel. Crap, let me try again.
:-)
Could she be in relation to Jacob? I wonder
Damn clickbait titles. Still, not bad for a Roland advert.

Dirty Buskers stealing Jobs and attention from real richenbacker players
Sadly that fascinating female voice is not part of the package. ;)
No disrespect to her, but no thanks.
It's got no soul.
I'm sorry, but I don't hear anything remotely interesting here.
What is the point of this comment? Outside of being rude, what purpose do you think this comment serves?
