Got this recommended, and I was pleasasently surprised by how interested I was in this question. You really made it interesting even with rare cuts and edits. I think it would be interesting trying out other methods in a more broad video, what is the fastest way to get to Los Santos, for example, getting a Sparrow from your Kosatka and so on.
that's the fastest car and 0 traffic vs a jet in a very generic scenario. i'd add 20 sec more for personal car+real traffic and 1 minute for using a traffic car
I’ve been stealing the jet during Contract runs & the like. I always suspected it was faster, and it was definitely easier, but it’s still nice to see actual scientific proof. It’s even clearer when you have to worry about traffic & stuff
I'm hoping in GTA 6 they remove that ridiculous feature of planes/helicopters dying in 2 minutes after a slightly hard landing or a few bullets. It wasn't in other GTA's. It shouldn't be here. Nobody asked for it and nobody wants it to return
My rule is: One third of the map: Get to the Chopper! and Two Third or more of the map, get a Jet. Btw.: "You lose a few second because of the Traffic" is wrong!! Almost every NPC car is programmed to hit you.
That's wrong, there's a video explaining all this that was released end of 2024, they're not programmed to hit you, they just follow arbitrary roads and sometimes switch lanes because they can and immediately decide to go back to their first lane, causing it to seem like it purposefully tried to hit you.
@@khodok9636that is the programmed part, when they just “randomly” switch lanes. It’s not random. Drive around the streets normally then start an export job from the import export warehouse and look at the difference, almost every car on the street will “randomly” move into your path then after the job it goes back to normal. It’s defo scripted and idk why people are still denying it after a decade of proof
@@AyoSosanya just watch the video I told you about, they definitely are not programmed to hit you. There is absolutely no definitive proof for it to happen, while there is plenty of proof showing it's just random. I also play the game (albeit less than I used to), I know what you're talking about, it's just the game doing what it does with negative bias mixed in. As a programmer myself, I always thought that the "they took the time to program the cars to hit the players" for such an old game (PS3 couldn't have handled those variables on top of everything else, as far as I know it was already struggling as is) to be a lot of work for very little reward, the cars don't know where the player is, only when you're blocking their way, and to be precise, they don't know it's you, they just have something in their way, they can't see you coming from 100 meters behind when you're going 300kph zooming past them, they would miss you every time even with a crazy good algorithm, too many variables, which would make it a pointless use of a lot of resources on the very weak PS3 era consoles. What happens is that you go past a thousand cars everyday, at some point, since they swerve lane randomly, you'll hit one, it's inevitable. Now usually you just don't care because you're just driving around, you'll still remember it if it happens again and again, but you'll forget some, while you will remember every single one that actually fucked you up (like when you're supposed not to get hit or you get fucked in some ways): negative bias. That being said, missions do change how the game operates a little (less in Online because it would clash between players doing different missions while being really close to one another, but there are probably still tiny changes in the background). These changes could make it so the car randomly swerve more often (by giving them more permissions to do so, or a higher "change lane directive" coefficient), and maybe someone at R* voluntarily made it so, but the car still isn't programmed to swerve into you, it's just switching lane at the wrong time, and some variable might make it more common in missions where it's more annoying to get hit because of either a bug or a Demon at R*, but it's still a random occurrence. TL;DR: we still don't believe it because it's just not programmed, all the proof you have is only substantial, you've "seen it happen", yeah, well the guy in the video shows it doesn't, and more importantly CAN'T happen with proof like I don't know? Showing how the game handles cars in its entirety? Even DarkViperAU (among others) admitted he was wrong about this after seeing the video, that's saying something considering how many times he was fucked because of it in front of thousands of people.
That dodge viper looks sooo good in the game!! Nice that you use it for a lot of videos because I really enjoy looking at it😂🙌 Amazing fun videos too!! Keep it up❤❤
Please do a test run where you do each thing as fast as possible. For the car run: hit brake-boosts where possible, hit curb boosts where possible, hit a middrive boost at the start, for the jet run: use the optimal climbing angle, go into first person to see it aswell as your current altittude, then go to exactly 900ft to get max speed, press space (or x / square) to manually jump on to the jet and position yourself right behind the cockpit to avoid the animation and go straight into opening the canopy and climbing in. it would be interesting to see the difference it would make to the results. I suspect the car would win by >15 seconds if all brakeboosts are hit and all curbboosts are done. The middrive boost would only amount to ~0.5 sec since the banshee GTS is so fast regardless, and hitting the middrive is really difficult unless your in first person and can see the tachometer
There are a lot of factors that affect results and yes, it was kinda obvious a jet was the faster option, still, these are genuine questions I've had while playing and, in my case (running gta on a low end pc) speed IS the name of the game unless the map stops loading so, good info
