We can all drive EMPTY STREETS fast. Or so I thought... I realise now that some don't seem able to! Some low-suspension cars collide with pavements like hitting a solid wall! ZR380, Turismo etc.

I don't know if this is already mentioned. It is when you drive from aloma sea to the sawmill. You can skip the drive around by going up the hill and you end up gettting back on the road before the long tunnel you go through. (Also known as the tunnel from act 3 in the doomsday heist)

It took me hours.. literal hours. Finally what happened was, i somehow how got it stuck like a mouse in flytrap in one of the windmills. And while it was completely stationary, i just used the explosive machine gun thing.

A shortcut I use often is the one near vespucchi by the chinese looking altar. Can cut a sharp turn by going through a grass area with benches.

I’ve always wondered, going from the Sandy shores Customs Shop to say the train track into Sandy shores, wether it’s quicker to cut through the desert or go around to the darts and stay on the road. Maybe try cutting into the desert early and late too I’m sureee 1 of them has to be a time save.

Another job specific shortcut is for when you're doing the car prep mission for the Chicken factory and you go for the Professionals' car over by the power plant. You start up at the Clinton Ave. lockup and need to get down to LS Fwy Northbound as soon as possible. The shortcut here involves turning right over the grass just after the two trees behind that big TV billboard and aiming just right of the bush over by the on ramp (the grass on the left side of that bush is made of pure titanium). Then taking the incorrect lane off-ramp onto LS fwy northbound and cutting over to correct lanes to get to the slip lane over to Palomino fwy. as fast as possible. When you aim it right you do not need to brake at all and can just maintain almost all your speed onto the fwy, and the only risk is swerving traffic right as you merge down on the actual fwy.

If, for whatever reason, you're right at the bend where Popular St. turns into Hawick Ave. And you want to go up to Mirror Park, and you're in a AWD car that isn't too horribly slow, and it's got a high enough front not to get stuck on the small concrete ledge. You can just boost up over the ledge on the eastern side just north of the overpass (Del Perro Fwy) and you perfectly jump over the roof of the house above and land on West Mirror Dr. or w/e it's called facing eastbound. If you're going up to the land act dam you have a straight shot from there and can even take another cut through the gas station into a jump off the grass that lands you perfectly in the corner, skipping the first part of the dirt road. The less car dependent way to do it, which works with basically all decently fast AWD cars is if you're already on Del Perro Eastbound (on the wrong side of the road) and jump down through the hole in the wall above Popular and land on the grass directly, then drive up it to take the exact same jump. Not entirely sure if it's even faster than just continuing on Del Perro, but it sure is a lot flashier.

As you said, most of these are much easier on a motorcycle. Usually getting on a highway is faster with motorcycles as well, because most motorcycles can jump walls just about anywhere you want.

I much prefer this new format where you show the normal route first. I think it's also because it forces the normal route to make more sense. Before I felt some of the "normal" routes where too convoluted as in it tried to hard to hit the begining and end of the shortcut, without a real purpose of going somewhere (a good example of this is in the first video at 12:00).

It’s worth noting that sometimes just bullying your way through/over barriers is a valid option, especially in more off-road-friendly vehicles. No specific usecases come to mind rn, but you could get rid of that annoying hairpin sequence by just going over the wall at 7:53 Accounting for speed loss & whatnot, I bet you’d save about 7 seconds in that example.

additional small tip: you can avoid the cinematic camera when doing stunt jumps by aiming your gun. makes it easier to orient your car in the air

thanks for including mine! now the real question is: does jumping into the airport from that garbage container actually saves time? it’s the most well known stunt jump in my opinion, i’m surprised no one asked it yet. (just don’t forget to aim with your weapon before the jump to skip the cinematic) you could also test the downhill route that Trevor uses in the mission Caida Libre. just don’t start from the observartory, instead from somwhere where players actually would be so the comparison is more realistic

One shortcut i tend to take very often is past the prison near sandy shores. The GPS, when youre going to sandy shores, will tell you to take the off ramp onto the little bridge that goes across the highway. I drive into oncoming traffic and up the on ramp to turn left. Vice versa does the GPS tell you to take that on ramp when youre driving to los santos from sandy shores/ yellow jack. I instead drive on the road that leads to the prison and then near the end jump onto the highway.

The canal to highway jump is super car dependent. The setup for exactly how to hit it is different with every single car. And with some cars, they simply break that fence just in front of the train the wrong way, causing you to lose all momentum and hit the side of the overpass. With the Elegy RH8 you can do a different version of that which is like 70% consistent that has you land on top of the spaghetti overpass above the freeway which lets you keep all momentum and go straight up LS Freeway/Elgin.

Going wide in the on a turn, outside or inside past the apex, over taking traffic only works with cars with the good enough traction, Now if I do a freemode job /event where I’m driving my personal vehicle holding gold, hot property or brief cases, I could be driving one of the fastest imani tech car from any class to get away from players pressuring me for what I’m holding. I’m now under pressure depending on how they approach me + the fastest imani tech are balanced out so that explosive armour the car gets affects your traction or weight making it easier for you to over steer when taking corners or overtaking traffic or in some cases a slightly delayed response to turning the wheel, I wouldn’t change it and it’s way more fun

Heres the other thing... car You might love a different driving style and you'll naturally get faster if you're in a car you enjoy, try to experience as many different types of cars as possible and you'll just get better Really wish the Racing community was bigger cuz GTA has some great physics

Nice vid, but a quick tip: Blurring the video is fine, but you need to put something on the screen that is in focus, unlike the clip at around 3:00. Full blur on the whole screen is tough to watch, especially from up close or when tired.

One of my most favorite/useful shortcuts is driving alongside the water canal that's next to Maze Bank Arena to get to the train tracks in Rancho from the helipad near Vespucci, or vice versa.
