Aahhh no matter what color the cone, Sherpa is still absolutely adorable! On 4/5/22 I had abdominal surgery. It turned out that I had uterine cancer. The Dr was able to remove all of it, because it was caught early enough. While in the hospital, I had your handsome smiling face and Sherpa's adorable, smiling face to see in the videos. Those videos made me have a smiling face and helped get my mind off of what I was going through. Just hearing your English accent and hearing Sherpa talk to all of us, makes me smile. I want to thank you Jami, and Sherpa, for the awesome videos. Love and hugs from NE Ohio ❤️🥰❤️

Sherpa, tell dad they make an inflated “donut” that goes around the neck that is more comfortable and easier to wear than the “cone of shame”! 😂☺️
My staffie destroys theses cones,so I brought the donut collar.

Even at eleven years old < (I think) he's got the bright sparkly eyes of a happy puppy, and the waggly tail as well. What a great pal to hang with. 🐶🐶🐶

He took it remarkably well. He didn't seem that distressed by it..at least until he tried to get up onto the seat in the van, and then it bothered him.
Oh poor Sherps in his pink cone. It's actually a nice colour on him 💗. Glad he is recovering though, bar the scratching of course, but the cone of shame is for his own good.

Man, did I need that laugh. I've been up all night with my IBS so feel like absolutely rubbish😓You just can't help laugh at his very beautiful Lordship sulking in his pink cone of shame. Good thing it wasn't pink AND patterned with flowers/ponies/girly stuff!! 🌼🐴♀️
On the plus side, since Sherpa is now practically a mobile satellite, at least if you can't get a TV reception in the van, you can stick him on the roof & point him in the right direction until you get a signal! 📡📶📺👍👌

It's was actually a father and his teen son wearing them. (They were very pink) The son had girls coming up to him the whole night. He got quite a few dates out of it.😎

This really touched my heart poor Sherpa! He sure was a good boy though. My golden retriever never had any skin issues until he was 10 years old. Then he would scratch and bite hot spots whenever I was away from the house. So we had to put a cone of shame on whenever we left the house to go shopping. He didn't like it but soon got used to it and was a good boy about coming over and sitting while I put it on. We found out later that he had developed an allergy to an ingredient in his food. After changing his food and putting on a liquid salmon oil, his skin healed right up and he was fine again. Like Sherpa, he was my constant companion and brought so much joy to everyone who knew him. I think they are one of God's greatest gifts to mankind. There is nothing like the the bond of friendship we can have with a good dog. :)

I remember when my alsatian lab cross Beavis (r.i.p) had one, he was clumsy anyway pre cone and with it would wake me up a few times in the night falling off the bed then trying to get back up (I'd always help him). Get well soon Sherps lad.

My poor Odie had to wear one for 2 weeks after he had four growths removed. He didn’t seem to mind it. I hated it knocking into the bad of my legs. I was glad when it came off.

I like how Sherpa tried to be as gentle vocally as he could and he still startled the two dogs a bit 🙃
When one of my dogs had to wear a cone, we ended up taking it off early because she kept running into all the furniture (and she wasn't a small dog either, she was a Golden Retriever). :P
More recently, our present dog had to get a cone a couple years ago to stop her from licking a hot spot on her leg. But it was a big plastic one that had a bit of a flap (where it overlapped) on the inside, and she kept chewing on that part, so that one didn't last long either. :P
It is hilarious (it shouldn't be, but it is) how dogs just instantly get SO POUTY once they're wearing a cone. You fell so sorry for them, but you keep telling them that it's for their own good! :P

😄 Haha I knew he'd have it on eventually but I thought it'd be right after his procedure but I can sympathize, stitches are itchy and as fluffy as he is you can't discount his hairs around his wound irritating him.
It's in his best interest so sometimes we have to be cruel to be kind. Stay strong Jaime 🤗
