I don't think Obie could have beaten anyone in the stone-off. Even when he's drawn in a "easier" group he don't have what it takes to reach the final. He's a good athlete but by no mean has the range or qualities to deserve his spot at WSM. I feel sorry for the strong guy's out there who never gets a chance to compete at WSM just because the don't know the right people to get a invitation.
I remember in 2020 Obie uploaded a video called World's Strongest Man vs. Concrete Challenge so I expected it to show Brian or Big Z or someone in it, but it was just him and some other TH-camr and it immediately rubbed something wrong with me. There was some level of entertainment in his 'being the bad guy' status in Giants Live and such like, but honestly as much as putting on a big show and the giant tall strongmen being involved (what with Thor's retirement) provides something for the crowd, I think it undercuts the value of this being a strength competition. There's plenty of people out there who would absolutely adore the opportunity to represent their respective countries on the big stage; give Obie the limelight when he earns it, not because he's tall, has a big personality and is well known.
Although I understand your point Obie has earned what he has now He’s been a professional for a decade now and has been to multiple WSM finals along with records and wins in certain competitions He’s 37 which is starting to enter the age where natural processes that equip strength are starting to decline as he gets older But the man is still one of the Top 20 strongest humans on earth at the moment and is one of the best log pressers in the world so while I understand your point understand Robert is a guy who likes to entertain but he’s still a top tier stength athlete who with the right events can be scary good
@@newfarm_9647 oh no I'm not say8ng he's better than others Granted his pressing is more max log specific He's in no way a big z eddie bibi mateusz etc

Well obersts better than some people.
Other guys would get cut from the lineup not obie
Last 3 years Obie has absolutely stunk on the stone off. Almost looks like he's lethargic or has nothing left in the tank.
Ironic considering he said he lost size

100% There is a difference between a WSM competitor and THE WSM.
Even with all his advantages, Obie disappoints once again.
Because he's a low tier strongman he is very disappointing
Having short arms isn't that good
@@basicmeme1040 in pressing it is, and he placed last in that.. stop with the excuses. no hate, just feel like others deserve the spot more than him
@@newfarm_9647 he didn't place last in the top 50 lol

What's with the fake ethnic pronunciations lol. Colin says Melsteð as 'melshted' like its German and forgets the eð at the end anyway
not so strong and pretty
