@@RiverLiverLife They need to tap into the local Surinamese community in New York. Surinamese have a contemporary AfroIndianDutch culture that probably is the closest living tradition to Pinkster. They should also reach out to the Ramapo Mountain communities, which contain descendants who isolated themselves when they realized they would not fit into the British trinary racial and chattel slave systems. Adding these groups would make the celebration more authentic, and connect it to the present.
