  • How do you map a user journey for complex product/service experiences? The key is to be aware of what the overall challenge is and also be aware of how much time you have on had to work on this user journey mapping exercise. The more time you have, the more you can elaborate your complex map into detailed steps or experience. The less time you have, the more important it is to simplify. On this video, Alvin takes us through an example of how a user journey map can further be elaborated to represent a more complex experience. Hope you enjoy this one!

    I have 3 doubts
    1. Shouldn't we also include the user emotions on each stage
    2. Are user journeys created with assumptions for both current state and future state?
    3. What kind of research data do we need to know about the user and the product to create the User journey for current state & future state?
    Thanks for this video!

Great😍 could you please make a video for current state? My question is which data we use for a current product to map the user journey? Is it interviewing datas, usability tests datas or...?

I really love the quality of your videos and the content itself as a designer. It is helpful and very informative. Do you mind maybe telling us the software you are using for doing those user journeys ?

Thanks for watching and also the kind comments Apiut! In this video we are using MURAL (www.mural.co/), which is an online/virtual whiteboard.

Well done for beginners but I don't see the complexity I was looking for and how to define scope while working within the lifecycle of a large product. Where do you start and end when you are expanding a product area and so on.

Thanks for the feedback ghooba! We’ll dive deeper in future videos on product feature expansion examples perhaps.

    Thanks for the video.
It would be nice if you'd tune out, dimm or use not so upbeat music when you talk. I understand it works in intros/outros but during the actual content explanation it is quite distracting and fights against what you say. This way, you'll also differentiate more between intros, outros, ads and the content.

Too old the approach, Journey track is a software which help a lot doing journey maps, easier, faster, you can share the info real time. Much better
