  • Combine sightseeing and biking all in one breathtaking trip! Nine miles long, the Lachine Canal trail takes you from a beautiful park (Parc Rene-Levesque) to the heart of Montreal -- the second most populous city in Canada. The Lachine is considered one of the world's most beautiful biking circuits -- so you don't want to miss this one. Don't worry if you don't speak French as more than 60% of the population speaks English. This ride took place on June 1, 2023.

    We have been riding up near Niagara on the Canada side and were actually in Montreal this weekend for the F1 race. We wished we had brought the bikes with us. More so now after seeing this. Great video, as always.

      We have another Montreal ride coming up in a few weeks. We wrote through the Grand Prix circuit and the site of Expo 67. We thought it was pretty cool.

    The canal is ok but the nicer one is along the river from champlain bridge to where you started

    Hi guys, great video and the trip looked awesome. Loved your editing! Keep up the good work. Jan and I recently got back from the Petit Train du Nord trail northeast of Montreal. Great trail worth looking into. Take care and all the best, Steve

      Hi Steve, Thanks for checking in on us. I know you and Jan are busy bikers. We will check out your trail recommendation, but not sure we want to head to Canada again soon -- at least not with the RV -- because we almost got put in jail at the border for bringing back fruits and vegetables to the US -- they were the same US fruits and vegetables we took over with us!! Oh well. Have a safe summer.

    Thanks for your the lovely video . I live in Montreal and we like americans ... you are usually much nicer , curious and want to learn some french . Not the case for the rest of Canada starting in Ontario , even in Ottawa the Capital the dont speak french . Next time go on Notre Dame Island and bike along the Sea way behind the Casino de Montreal

      Hi, Thank you for taking the time to write such a nice comment. We really enjoyed our trip to Montreal. BTW: We did a second ride along the Bike Link & Route Verte that took us to the Race Track, Casino, and remnants of the Worlds Fair. You can see that here: th-cam.com/video/9_jDoosBGl8/w-d-xo.html. Thanks for watching. We hope to "see" you again on another adventure.

    Another great ride......but... I loved the beginning: "Let's turn a 360...." and only turn 180. Laughed my butt off. Oh well, six of one, half a dozen of another...right???? How were the beers??

      Potatoe, potato!! Good catch. I didn't realize that I did that, but it is true. I guess I was too busy thinking about how far we had to ride for food and a beer.

    Nice trail! Were you able to ride your e-bikes from the campground? Or did you drive, park in the city and ride from there?

    • @Adventuresonebikes
      @Adventuresonebikes  ปีที่แล้ว +1

      We might have been able to ride from the campground if we wanted to ride a lot farther. We opted to drive about 1/2 hour to where we parked. We parked near Parc René-Lévesque and rode our bikes into the city. Here is a link to a bike map of the area: www.velo.qc.ca/en/toolkits/greater-montreal-bikeway-map/. Thanks for watching!

      Hum..... we got our advice on the pronunciation from a French/Canadian we met while there. So I'll just admit that I likely didn't pronounce it correctly! Thanks.
