      Thanks! No modifications to the camera or any other part of the trunk are needed. You can see a slight arc of the light bar in the top of the reversing camera screen but nothing that blocks anything important. It almost acts like a visor and help cuts down glare.
      You may have seen someone install one on a 3IS (2015-2018), as I believe they need to modify the camera and replace panels on those. These models however don't require anything like that.

      Correct, no rubber gasket required. HC Motion tail lights don't have a rubber seal either. I have had 3 sets of those on different IS models over the years, with and without the rubber strip and none of them have ever leaked. With the way they seal them in the factory these days the seal is no longer required.

      This has happened a few times so far, including to one of my own cars ('08 Lexus IS-F). It only seems to affect some cars but is easily fixable. You need to use a 10w 39ohm resistor on each tail light harness and that'll get rid of the code for having a short in the brake light circuit. All of my IS350s have been fine without one, and so have my friend's '09 and '11 IS-Fs so it seems to only affect certain model years. On the tail light harness the positive wire is red and the negative is black. Once you wire the resistor to each tail light the problem will vanish. @Cordia4G63T  3 หลายเดือนก่อน +1

      This affects certain model years and different markets (and also happens with other brands such as HC Motion) but luckily is easy to fix. You need to add a 10w 39ohm resistor to each outer tail light. One side connects to the positive wire and the other to the negative wire, doesn't matter which wire goes to which on the resistor side. • @Cordia4G63T
      @Cordia4G63T  5 หลายเดือนก่อน

      I mentioned it in the video - you need to place it evenly on the trunk. Make sure the studs on one side aren't completely through the holes otherwise you'll struggle to get the other side it. Allow the studs to poke through just a little bit and then do the other side. The whole lightbar will then drop evenly in place.

    • @Cordia4G63T
      @Cordia4G63T  ปีที่แล้ว

      Yes this was something that someone else brought up with theirs after the video was made. It only affects the 06 & 07 models as they have two metal tabs in the trunk light opening, which prevents the side of the light bar from sliding in.
      You'll need to get a pair of pliers or some vice grips and bend the tabs inwards. You can put a cloth/towel over the tab first so you don't chip the paint but they are very easy to bend and serve no purpose. 08+ models don't have those tabs.

    Beautiful car man, I recently installed these on my 2007 Lexus is250 and makes it look newer. I have a question about the 4is style headlights on your car, when installing them did you get hyperflash on the turn signals? I installed them on my car and got hyperflash. I checked the connections and pulled the fuses it said to do but still hyperflash.

    • @Cordia4G63T
      @Cordia4G63T  8 หลายเดือนก่อน

      Cheers man. I have never had any hyper flashing issues from the headlights and I've had 3 sets of them so far. I believe some US models suffer from this but mine are all Japanese imports. You would likely need to install an adjustable flasher relay, which can be bought on eBay or Amazon. Should fix the problem.
