Props to the BTR family for making such great products. I was left speechless at the last Halloween cars coffee looking around at the machines and rooms and rooms of parts. I really want to try this new BTR vvt 225 cam for the lt1 vette. Jus gotta find the installer🤔. Got the non vvt version of this cam and love it as always. Jus gotta give props to the tuner of my car. The tuner really makes these cams come alive. PROPS TO JAMES SHORT for the job he does and BTR for setting the standards in the industry. A+ guys

Glad to see someone finally making aftermarket cams for the vvt that doesn't just eliminate it! Back when Gale Banks started making turbo kits for small & big block Chevrolets. He used Rhoads vvt lifters, invented in 1968. I plan to deploy the roller version for my next BBC build.

      4 degrees is effectively eliminated.

What cam do you recommend for a manual c7 stingray with an ECS supercharger. I also want to do pistons and delete AFM. I already have the lt4 HPFP

Does it matter where you install the limiter inside the phaser? Or any open slot is ok?

Maybe someone can help me I did a dod delete on my 14 5.3 Silverado I installed a stock non dod cam in it but I didn’t know I didn’t need a phaser limiter for my application so now I keep getting p0011 code so my question is should I remove my limiter or just tune the truck to avoid tearing open front timing cover

@briantooleyracing3554 When diss assembling my Gen V+ (2021) VVT to install the limiter, a white plastic piece flew out across the shop when lifting the end plate.. I found the white piece, is there supposed to be a spring underneath it that sent it flying?

The Devil is in the details. The LT engines are really superior in every aspect to the LS, but these tuning nuances are not widely known. Great job Nick Evdos and James Short!

What about using your vvt cams with aftermarket ECUs? You have data to help the aftermarket ecu’s perform well ?

As long as the aftermarket ECU can control the VVT solenoid I wouldn't see a problem.

We used a Haltech on our engine dyno to control VVT on Gen IV engines.

So if I'm choosing a Stg 2 cam for the L83, is it necessary or optimal to limit the VVT phase? Or does it simply sacrifice some low rpm drivability for ease of tuning?

VVT cams run fully advanced, so to get maximum top end HP we use a 4 degree limiter, which is 4 cam degrees, or 8 crank degrees.
