I have an almost identical coffee mill with Bauernmalerei but in blue! My Oma gave that to me hehe I can’t wait to finally be able to decorate our home and this was such a lovely video to get me in the mood and inspiration for it! ❤

Love love love this video, the energy was uplifting :). I’m a bit like you on some things so I feel a connection to this video even more. I love thrifting, decorating, have piles of plants all over my house, and I love some magical witchy references in my house. I lean into it a bit more than you do though, as I don’t care about maintaining a totally modern aesthetic-which isn’t a bad thing, just different things and tastes for different people. Everyone is different in some ways. I’ve very much into creating movie set style rooms. I’m doing a dark academia gothic bathroom right now that feels like a combination haunted library/weird creepy modern art museum with interactive features everywhere-books to read, adult coloring books in creepy themes, odd objects to look at and touch, gallery style walls full of unsettling or moody and creepy Victorian gothic aesthetic prints. Branching twinkling LED light vines on shelves and up the wall. People walk in and are like “whooooaaa!” Blown away and highly interested. They don’t come out of the bathroom for a long time even if they just had to pee 😂. And I have a Honeydukes candy trolley (made from an old tea cart) that I painted out in the store colors and have wizard candy displays all over it which guests can “pick a treat from the trolley” when they visit. I have a huge blown up image behind it of the universal studios street view of Gringott’s Wizarding Bank with the fire breathing dragon on top of it. I have HP quotes framed on the other wall mixed with wand displays, Lucius Malfoy’s walking stick/wand combo, Bellatrix’s wand display, a time turner in display case, a huge Design Toscano wall mounted dragon head light, a Hedwig owl on an ornate wood perch that we built, and we even made the big faux ice creams display like in the Universal Studios Honeydukes shop. Amongst the candy we have a Cornish pixie flying, Pickett the bowtruckle, etc. People freak out when they see this thing 😂. We have a lot of people come through (hundreds sometimes) during certain events that we host so it’s worth it to go all out in here. Even if just to watch their expressions of wonder and delight when they see everything. Anyway-Hufflepuffs rule! My husband is one and he’s the best!
It looks awesome! I've just moved into a new place and I am trying to make it feel like home. It's a rental though, so I can't really decorate much. I still wish I could get such nice antiques and plants to decorate the rooms with!

I hate shopping too with exception to antiques, plants and independent, must book stores that also sell used books. I wish I had someone who enjoyed those things with me and maybe enable me.
I would also add finding high quality clothes made of natural fabric entirely. There is so much polyester and plastic fabric out there. I hate it. I get so happy when I thrift cute clothing items I wouldn't afford any other way.

I have lists of what plants I want/NEED! Always on the hunt. I have friends with gardens who are more than willing to share their plant and harvest abundance with me. I an forever grateful to them. Just harvested some basil that is now drying so I have enough to take me to thru the cold months. I have learned (took a VERY long time for this to sink in) to only grow, buy, accept that which I will use within a year or so. I've had to learn that with all my comestibles as I would always get too much and it would go to waste (I regularly fed the compost bin!) I have the opportunity and ability to get/grow more if needed. Blessings send to you.
So happy to see this vid for one of my Godchildren, when she was bit younger we all took quizzes to find our houses and she was the only Hufflepuff. She was really upset and said but I wanted to be like you... I told her no you don't my love you want to be like you! You are the only child who my cat loves, and all animals seem calm around you... because you are patient and kind and know the right things to do, and are never cruel to anyone.... those are Hufflepuff things! Love your channel usually but I'm disappointed by the Harry Potter support. JKR is a horrible person whose political influence has directly, materially destroyed lives. Supporting HP is, unfortunately, supporting her. You can't divorce a living author making money off of their work from the work itself. Even if you're not buying HP merch, this is positive advertising for her. She's stated that people who love HP (even those who aren't directly supportive of her views) ARE supporting her, fueling her, and spur her on so long as they're interacting positively with her media. Absolutely no hate, just a genuine note of concern from a trans admirer that this sends an extremely negative message to people like me.
Absolutely understand your feelings and I feel the same about JKR but as someone who grew up with HP I will unfortunately always love the books. I won't buy anything but I would be a lier if I was to say I don't enjoy the story anymore. In fact it is my biggest comfort book series. Same with the music of one of my favourite bands - Rammstein (amongst many, many others that are more than questionable as human beings). Same with other books I grew up with - for example the mists of Avalon. Unfortunately there are many horrible people out there and some of them made art history in their genre - some we know of and some we don't. I love the trans community and will support them in any other way but I will not start to lie about what story I enjoy just because the author is a shallow pigschnitzel ☺️

What a glorious video, I love thrift shops, sadly ours isn't that great, we did have an antique shop called thecwhite rabbit,it really was like going down a rabbit hole back to the 1920s. This video comes at such a great time, I'm looking to refresh my kitchen(also a kitchen/garden / cottage witch, and this is perfect, thank you xx

Love your channel usually but I'm disappointed by the Harry Potter support. JKR is a horrible person whose political influence has directly, materially destroyed lives. Supporting HP is, unfortunately, supporting her. You can't divorce a living author making money off of their work from the work itself. Even if you're not buying HP merch, this is positive advertising for her. She's stated that people who love HP (even those who aren't directly supportive of her views) ARE supporting her, fueling her, and spur her on so long as they're interacting positively with her media.
Absolutely no hate, just a genuine note of concern from a trans admirer that this sends an extremely negative message to people like me.
Absolutely understand your feelings and I feel the same about JKR but as someone who grew up with HP I will unfortunately always love the books. I won't buy anything but I would be a lier if I was to say I don't enjoy the story anymore. In fact it is my biggest comfort book series. Same with the music of one of my favourite bands - Rammstein (amongst many, many others that are more than questionable as human beings). Same with other books I grew up with - for example the mists of Avalon. Unfortunately there are many horrible people out there and some of them made art history in their genre - some we know of and some we don't. I love the trans community and will support them in any other way but I will not start to lie about what story I enjoy just because the author is a shallow pigschnitzel ☺️
