Happened to ... Them? I think you need to brush up of who the Japanese were in ww2. Literally the only modern army that practiced on live people (mainly chinese slaves they took)

Yeah most people aren’t aware of how evil the Japanese military were during WW2 since the Germans get all the focus. Which makes sense of course, but the atrocities committed by Japan and even the U.S. and Britain to a lesser extent shouldn’t be ignored. WW2 was a terrible war that didn’t really have a definitive “good” ending that could be achieved. As sad as it is seeing hundreds of thousands of civilians die to the bombs, it was viewed at the time as the only way of ending the war between the U.S. and Japan without losing millions. Not saying that makes it right, but that’s just the harsh reality of that war.

_Godzilla Minus One_ did an outstanding job on highlighting how messed up the Japanese military was in the World War II era, sending its troops to die for a meaningless cause and taking life for granted.

You need to brush up on how many innocent civilians died because of the nuclear bombing.

I don’t think a Japanese woman needs you to lecture them on what Japan did in WW2, and even then it wouldn’t change that Godzilla is a manifestation of the trauma of nuclear bombs dropped on civilians. Who and what the Japanese did or didn’t do isn’t going to change the facts that there is trauma for what happened.
