You can, the only thing to consider is that aluminum is a soft metal, so you'll want to either use a thick gauge and harden it by hammering, like in this ring design ( www.etsy.com/listing/178521225/adjustable-silver-ring-hammered-texture?ref=shop_home_active_8 ) or you'll want to pick a style where it wrapped several times and reinforced in such a way that that wire can't bend out of shape too much.
Stainless steel wires are lovely at a fair price but they are not strong and will snap with minimal pressure and are ill suited for wrapping wires together or holding stones in place. Bronze I haven’t worked with yet.

Hm, I don't know exactly what type of wire that would be, but in general some of the issues you run into with wire not specifically made for jewelry making are the temper being unreliable (so it might be much harder to work with) or the wire containing metals which may not be as good for wearing as jewelry (for example nickel or trace lead). I know many folks have no issues with purchasing copper wire from hardware stores, though, so maybe you'd be fine!
Love the name XD No, you can certainly use stainless steel! You may find it more difficult to work with, as it tends to be harder to bend and shape. In addition, if you're making ear wires, you'll want to make sure you get surgical grade stainless steel to avoid allergens/irritation.
