I completely agree with you-aging is not an illness. I began learning my third language at 58, the fourth at 60, and two years later, the fifth, with results I find quite satisfactory. What motivates me most is the joy of communicating, reading, and listening, as well as the sense of freedom that comes from traveling and connecting with people who speak different languages. The greatest challenge for me is making the most of my time, even at the last moment, and defying the myths about age or the supposed lack of time-myths that often discourage people from pursuing anything new.
