Very delicious and healthy episode, plenty of good food and also new words, idioms and expressions.
It's better to take baby steps to improve our lifestyle, and to learn English either.
Thank for all this information and advices.

Gold Star! You got it. Yes, it is a story about lifestyle, but it is allegorical to language learning. Not too subtle but very much the intent of the story. There was a double meaning for sure.

@@comprehendeng And certainly a story worth revisiting many many times. Thank you.

Each time, I am amazed by both the presentation and the content of your videos. Congratulations, and keep up the excellent work! I have a question: when telling a story, do you use the same pace, tone, and vocabulary as you would with a native American English speaker?"

Thank you. My pace of speech depends on the occasion, mood, audience. If I were giving a scientific presentation, it would be this pace. If I were speaking with friends, it would be much faster. Fun and exciting topics are told faster. Stories deserve a deliberate, often somewhat slower presentation. Too slow and it becomes boring.

Thanks for this episode!! Not only have I learned English expressions but also came to know a new healthy food youtube channel. I am certainly going to try the vegan meatloaf.

Jill Dalton is a great resource and a good person. I have tried a lot of her recipes. I am glad that you liked it. Thank you for your ongoing support.
