agreed. alot of bands tend to go for technicality and forfeit all sense of structure and songwriting. these guys know when to just stop blowing their load all over their instruments and become an actual band
Season of mist, is definitely the best label in this quality Metal niche market. Top Marketing and full target vision in signing new bands and consolidated the others, Congratulations, I hope the label will get trough this situation that is affecting everyone.
I saw them live in The Academy in Dublin in March 2015. They were one of the support acts on the Death To All tour. That was my first time hearing them and I was instantly impressed.
Abysmal Dawn is one of my top favorite Death Metal bands. I am a fan of all their albums and actually there is not whatsoever one bad album ABYSMAL DAWN has ever recorded
Now this sounds like the Abysmal Dawn I remember! To be honest, I wasn't the biggest fan of Obsolescence, it felt too clean, almost to the point of sterility. But the chunky production on this album and the greater focus on groove really adds to the overall impact for me, and feels much more in line with why I came to love the band through From The Ashes, Programmed to Consume, and best of all, Leveling The Plane of Existence. Loved the Death cover, I had that album spinning on the drive to work for a year, when I was a bit younger. I also saw you guys up at Jewel, as well, and the crowd was kinda complete shit, but you guys were awesome! So glad I got to see you before all this virus insanity happened. Stay safe and keep it up, guys! Will be buying the album!
Honestly, not since "The Ten Commandments" have I felt power and brutality at a bliss level like this. It's like a bloody day on a WWI battle field captured by notes... Isn't that what death metal is about?
This guy's.. - vader - desolator -napalm death - skeletal remains - incinerate - stoned god - kataklysm - vatican falling - aborted (ep) - DEEDS OF FLESH All brought the 🤘☠️🔥🔥 in 2020. Along with others... The list can go on.. check out the new GOREWORM. Let me know what's ur fav. Always looking for new/old bands I missed. 20yrs strong still killing the metal scene
Nice album, waiting to get on deezer until my copy arrive on mail.

LOL Last song I said to myself : " gee, that riff sounds like Death, that band must really be a great source of inspiration for these guys" XD Then I heard the main riff and I was like "oh I feel so dumb now"
I listened to this on Spotify the other day, perfect blend of groove and technicality, as well as just being crazy heavy all the way though. I heard the opener, and was like, "Alright, that was cool." But then every song past that continued to impress me more and more 🤘💪🔨
I like that you call it "groove"....as fast and brutal, you can still tap your foot to it, that's the litmus test to being "groove" TY for your statement.
@@aidselmo1 Absolutely, these guys put out quality every single time. I actually sorta forgot about this album, there's been so many amazing releases this year, so thank you for reminding me!
1- mundane existence is futile 2- the pathmark of the totalitarian 3- hedonisticks 4- a speck in the fabric of eternity for men 5- costcoerced evolution 6- true to the blind melon 7- soul-sick nation of domination 8- the godhead's lament configuration 9- flattening of emojis

A perfect balance between technicality and brutality.

This is good, can't lie. But 10/10 legendary, all time great of the genre? Come on now.

Also Relapse Records in the US
The Artisan Era?
Jesus is Right!
I, Voidhanger and Transcending Obscurity
Easily their best album thus far! Very well written, mixed and harkens back to OSDM thrills without ever once sacrificing their signature groove!

I will not regret listening to this
One of those rare bands that seem to get better with every album
I saw them live in The Academy in Dublin in March 2015. They were one of the support acts on the Death To All tour. That was my first time hearing them and I was instantly impressed.
this record label has the best bands under its belt
I heard them on a one off, what label?
Awsome song writing as always from these guys, and even more energy and drive than their last LP. This is gold.

Abysmal Dawn is one of my top favorite Death Metal bands.
I am a fan of all their albums and actually there is not whatsoever one bad album ABYSMAL DAWN has ever recorded
Brutal and technical masterpiece.!!
Really good album. I love seeing some of these guys who play more straight-shooting, oldschool death metal utilize the more modern production sounds.
Yes, very old school but better than 8string pussies that dominate the airwaves!
Does anyone else feel the urge to break something with their head when A Speck In The Fabric Of Eternity starts playing?
The Path of the Totalitarian absolutely Kills !!
I love Abysmal Dawn! Been listening since forever!
This is how American death metal sounds at its best. Great album.
Bands like this and Skeletal Remains will save the sound of Buffalo Ny and Tampa!
Saw these guys on Valentines day, brought my son to see them, his first show \m/ epic!!!
🤘❤️
That's awesome! Good for you! I take my wife to many Deathmetal shows... Especially when Kataklysym are in town
Is your son looking for a step Dad? 🤔
(Just kidding) 🤣
Your son has an awesome Mom! Wish my Mom was as cool as you when I was a kid.
