- A street gang known as The Warriors Movie 1979 must fight their way from the Bronx to their home turf on Coney Island when they are falsely accused of assassinating a respected gang leader.
Cyrus, the leader of the most powerful gang in New York City, the Gramercy Riffs, calls a midnight summit for all the area gangs, with all asked to send nine unarmed representatives for the conclave. A gang called The Warriors are blamed for killing Cyrus as he gives his speech. They now have to cross the territory of rivals in order to get to their own 'hood. The Warriors slowly cross the dangerous Bronx and Manhattan territories, narrowly escaping police and other gangs every step of the way.

"The Warriors" is a great Odyssey story, and the Lizzies are the Sirens.
You could also compare the Lizzies to Circe''s island, where Odysseus gets stuck, seduced by her when he needed to stay faithful to his wife Penelope waiting for him in Ithaca, Greece (see bottom for more on that).
Ajax getting arrested by the undercover female cop in Central Park was the foreshadowing of the Lizzies ("Those who don't learn from the past are condemned to repeat it").
NYC at night is the perfect underworld (Hades) for the Warrior's odyssey, with the gangs hunting them the perfect "Shades" (threatening apparitions lurking everywhere in Hades).
If you've ever been in NYC at night (any big city, but NYC especially), you'll know that underworld aspect there is real - this film just captured that reality accurately and of course dramatized it extensively.
Places like Penn Station (the sprawling bus depot in the 42nd St area) is especially intense late at night. I live in rural Florida now, but back in the day I remember that place was like a freak show with it's hookers and drug addicts, cops and criminals and normal travelers trying not to look too nervous...a Hades full of lurking Shades.
"Circe invites Odysseus's men inside her house, but it is a trap. In fact, she offers them a poisonous drink and, by using a wand, turns them into pigs. However, Eurylochus escapes and warns Odysseus of what has happened."

Lisa Maurer is the actress that played her. The two Puerto Rican Lizzies (the one with the curly hair, brown coat and yellow scarf around her neck and the short one with the bun hairstyle and brown jacket, Dee Dee Benrey and Wanda Velez, respectively) aren't very far from being pretty popular and well known themselves. As for some of the other Lizzies and their actresses, it's a hit or miss

He was so cool because he's totally unique. In a gang of tough guys and womanisers he's an artist who can think with his upstairs brain unlike the others. Brings a unique element to the Warriors.

Ah, my favorite scene from one of my favorite movies. The Lizzies... beautiful, appealing, charming, alluring, luscious, and dangerous at the same time, too. Good thing the Warriors got out alive, but poor Rembrandt, though. Guy got stabbed trying to save his brothers when he, ironically was the only one that wasn't lulled by them. Good on him for staying smart and vigilant!

Rembrandt stayed on point. Didn't get played out of pocket. He knew something wasn't right.
When the girl with the gun got punched that knocked the breath out of me with shock before I started laughing.
The Lizzies were the closest to putting Rembrandt, Cochise, and Vermin out of their misery.
Had the Lizzies shot even one Warrior dead, their cred with the Gramercy Riffs would have gone sky high.
As it was, the Lizzies failed, and the three Warriors got out with their lives.
Best film of all time. Was stood where the outside scene was shot just a few weeks ago. Along with some other sites. Love the Lizzies. The quality of this clip is incredible

Rembrandt new something wasn't right by the look on his face.
He kept his guard up.
Rembrandt suspected it was a trap, and he was right.
Fortunately, other than a cut, he, Vermin, and Cochise all got out alive, to tell their fellow Warriors about it.
Had the Lizzies shot even one Warrior dead, their (the Lizzies) rep would have gone sky high in the eyes of the Riffs.
He was taught by a good leader to always watch out for anything.
Cleon and Swan gave him good wisdom
That was what saved them that night.

Here's what I like to imagine or here's my thoughts and my idea on how the Warriors' relationship with the Lizzies would be now following after being cleared of Cyrus' death and taking out the Rogues:
Cochise, Vermin and Rembrandt all went back to union square to meet up with the Lizzies and got an invite to the Lizzies' hangout and brought Cowboy and Snow along with them this time and they all get together at the Lizzies' pad and they settled their differences and team up with the remaining Warriors, they give them some weapons to carry and hold onto and they go with them back to coney island with Swan and Mercy, help mourn over Cleon & Fox's deaths, help bust Ajax out and the Lizzies take him along for the ride and they all become official Warriors themselves and some of them even wind up dating the other Warriors as well (Cowboy, Cochise, Snow, Ajax, Vermin & Rembrandt would be dating the Lizzies) since Swan and Mercy are together.
Ajax tries his luck with the Lizzies like he did with the undercover cop,
Cochise and Vermin behave like they previously did upon meeting the Lizzies,
Rembrandt even gets to have his way with them this time and is even settled with a few of them (4 or 5 Lizzies at least), and the Lizzie that cut him fixes his arm up.
Cowboy, Snow, Swan and Mercy approve of the Lizzies and Cowboy and Snow even find a Lizzie or two to settle down with themselves,
Swan announces the Lizzies as official members of the Warriors and gives them each a vest to wear,
Mercy got an official vest and was already made an official Warrior, and in addition to the vest, she even receives a pair of boots, jeans and a tie dye t-shirt of her very own from the Lizzies to go with her jacket and was even made an official Lizzie as well, and became their newest member. Together, they all become the Warrzies/Lizziors (Warriors & Lizzies).
R.I.P Marcelino Sanchez, he died of AIDS in 1986, he was 28 years old.

I did too, and she's very hot. I was attracted to her the most out of all the 12 Lizzies in that scene. She was probably my favorite Lizzie out of all of them when I first saw this scene again after a while, that and she's the only blonde member in a gang of ravens and brunettes. She was played by Donna Ritchie, by the way, if you didn't know.
Also, fun fact: There's a 2005 video game version of the movie, where only half of the members of the Lizzies from the movie are in the game, with the curly blonde haired Lizzie being one of them. Her name under The Lizzies' gang in rumble mode is Sheera

Cowboy was originally suppose to be in this scene and Cochise getting killed by the Furies. Plus, Vermin was suppose to get shot and killed.

That's been the million dollar question for now over 45 years when talking about the Lizzies in this whole scene. Who are the Lizzies? What is a Lizzie? What are their motives? What are the Lizzies sexuality?
There's been speculation that they are or some of them, but just imagine seeing at least one or two pairs of Lizzies kissing each other before they choose or decide to wanna kill the 3 Warriors, if it were or had an additional scene or an alternate or deleted scene. I honestly wouldn't be surprised if they were lesbian (or most of them or a few at least). I honestly wouldn't put it past any of them if they actually were. I mean, they're called "The Lizziiiieees..." for a reason. Their name, their tiedye T-shirts, their demeanor and mannerisms were a dead giveaway, plus the infamous dance scene with the dark-skinned Lizzie (Jordan Cae Harrell / Sarah) and the curly blonde-haired Lizzie (Donna Ritchie / Sheera) kinda speaks for itself.
Also, fun fact: for confirmation, I recently looked up the definition of the word lizzie, or a lizzie (noun) or lizzies (plural). Lizzie is an alternative form a lezzie, a slur which is slang for lesbian (obviously....). I get it.
