@John Molloy those costumes were what made the movie funny, fun and COOL back then for everyone who I know that saw it, and EVERYONE saw warriors back then, the baseball furies with pin stripes Yankees style and Kiss makeup, c'mon now who wants to see regular clothes from the 70s? That would look funnier now than the costumes

It would hit hard... but The Warriors didn't know the gangs are after them for most of the movie. Only after the Lizzies traps half of the warriors and the Furies the ambush the other half they they deduce that the gangs believe that they broke the truce
John Wick payed homage/tribute to this and I was one of the few in the theater that guessed the record drop soon as the DJ called out Wick on the radio. Was not expecting that referrence in the film but it made me smile.
Before Colors, Boyz in The Hood, Menace to Society there was The Warriors. Still on of my favorite movies of all times. That unforgettable scene towards the end with the guy clanging the two coke bottles together saying "Warriors come on and play".... just classic!

I love the shots of empty city streets before you see the other gangs moving out. It gives a great feeling of the vastness of the city, and how the Warriors are somewhere in this huge metropolis, but no one knows exactly where.
The Warriors movie is one of the coolest movies I ever saw...and own on DVD, my fav scene has to be the baseball fury chase as it has one of the coolest themes of the movie.
The Warriors has to be one of my all time favorite movies of all time. I remember my dad had gotten my brother and I a PS2 in 2002. So when the Warriors came out in 2005 my dad bought it with this movie and sat my brother and I down to watch it and play the game. One of my favorite childhood memories.
The game of this movie is still one of the best open world brawlers ever made imo, great story and characters that followed the movie perfectly while adding more into the lore of The Warriors and the gameplay was really great and ahead of it’s time with how you could smash bottles on other gangs heads and etc, wish we still got great games like The Warriors nowadays.
