You definitely deserve one for that demonstration.
4.0 is days from going LIVE where they have already demonstrated fully working server meshing among 6 servers with 500 player capacity. They are doing really good these days.
As someone who actually plays the game (unlike apparently a ton of you in these comments; yes I'm calling you out, no I will not continue debating with you), I greatly aprpeciate you showing this off! Pyro is looking absolutely gorgeous and I'm stoked you also showed off some of the newer engine features (specifically the water effects) on full max. I know ePTU isn't exactly a great point of comparable reference, but I've seen generally positive reports in chat that server meshing seems to be helping at least a little bit, but I don't think I have access to ePTU yet to try for myself.
All backers have access to EPTU. Server stability is not better or worse than live servers, i would say. I have the same low fps and the same server crashes or bugs.
I hope that when they get to the optimizations, the frames are better, especially on a 4090. I haven't even hooked my 4090 PC up yet since I got it because the house is a mess, and i have no room right now. Trying to get my ex wifes stuff out of the house and my bedroom moved to the room across the hall so I have a gaming room and not a cluttered bedroom that frustrates me everytime my chair hits anything lol.
its not about the gpu really, in heavy zones where fps drops the gpu is barely utilized. Its currently the server tickrate thats bad and the game is still heavily CPU limited. You can have the best GPU available and be stuck with 40 fps while your GPU sits at 38% load. Throwing the best hardware at this game is like trying to put out a fire with a waterpistol. Cig needs to optimize it first, which is for the time being impossible since the game is still heavily in development and the tech keeps evolving.
