For 4.0 im going to log on in my hangar, attempt to undock in my polaris, collide with desynced debris suddenly existing in my hangar, wake back up in a med bed, attempt to take an elevator but i fall thru the world, wake up in med bed but cant get out of it, then log out for the next 4 or 5 patches. Pretty hyped for the whole experience
When 4.0 releases to live, im hoping to do some cargo hauling, seems like its great way to explore all the unknown while doing something profitable and fun.
I'm hoping they do something to discourage the murder hobos before 4.0 goes live. Piracy is one thing, but some of the horror stories I've been reading is on another level of ridiculous.
@@SpenzOTkeyword “reading about” - the actual experiences are much different then the fan fiction people like to describe. You will rage over losing cargo to bugs way before piracy/griefing ever crosses your path.
The moment the patch drops, my 2 friends and I plan on actually and genuinely multi-crewing a Connie Andromeda, packing resources and exploring. Sure enough, 3 ships are better still than 1 fully crewed, but we're more on the having fun side of things rather than unironically contesting space and sweating fights.
Definitely excited to get out and truly do some off gridding! Pyro is the perfect place for that, as there will be a lot more wreckage around Pyro. Love that the risk factor is so much higher too for us out there, just living a passive life.
Noble idea, but i think Pyro PvP turns out to become KoS. It will not spare medics or janitors... personally, i would like a codex instead of KoS but it is not realistic on public MMO Servers.
It's going to be amazing to explore a new system! The contested areas sound great and the lawless areas are going to be interesting to see how they evolve with the game development.
Ok so here's the plan. I'm going to start in Stanton. Building myself up for everything I'll need in pyro. Then I'm going to take on Pyro Zero to Hero style starting with the contested zones. Hopefully by time I get there most everyone else will be board of them.😊
For alpha 4.0 I plan to tour all the pyro planets and do some exploring. I won’t be there much once the game goes to full release so I’ll get it in while i can lol
I play with my wife and these videos are a life saver. She either has to listen to me fumble through the patch notes and half explain stuff for 2 hours or I show her your 16 minute video and we stay happily married as gamers
I hope this wasn’t rushed through the process just so CIG can take credit for getting it out this year. 4.0 being released at all, let alone this year, is only meaningful if it’s a functioning patch.
And if they don't, the internet will once again burn CIG at the stake. CIG can't win. But they said this year, and its likely what we are going to get. Ready or not. Because, you know, the internet.
I love the localized missions being added. When they talked about adding planet gameplay and living on there, i imagined just living planetside for a good amount of my gameplay.
I am going to try out the industrial side of things when 4.0 goes live. I always go into combat/mercenary so I want to try something else out this time.
Man, when 4.0 goes live, I'm getting my mates together and we're getting on a carrack and jumping to pyro for our first experience of the system. It's going to be great.
I’m so excited for 4.0. Really hope that 4.0 launches into live this coming week. First thing is take a jump into pyro and explore some ground locations on the planets and moons.
After the wipe it will be back to grinding missions and bunkers to get an Avenger. After that more missions to a Cutty Black. Upgrade a few internals then off to Piro. I've done this a few times already in Stanton but this time absolutly no mining.
First thing I'm doing in 4.0 has to be go through the jump point, which I've been saving for when it goes live. Then of course a bunch of exploration of our new playground!
4.0 in the EPTU has been amazing, can't wait to gather my friends around and check out the contested zones, I've tried to get them into SC for a while, but there's always been server performance issues or other bugs which get in the way. Fingers crossed
So stoked to see the 4.0 progress!! I can't wait to really start living my space cowboy dreams. It feels like off gridding will be much more satisfying, if not more challenging, in Pyro!
Berks said it best when he said that you only get one chance to release 4.0. I would rather it continue to improve in the PTU then release another broken patch too early. I'm glad so many people have had good experiences, but I definitely have not and I don't want to see another 3.18.
The one, major thing that I want to do when 4.0 goes live is explore all of the planets in detail and find the perfect spot for my base. An intrepid would be huge for that, and the mpuv would accelerate my production needs before it comes out. And who doesn't love a simple aurora to just cruise around and be a canopy popper.
Once 4.0 drops, I'll do a few missions to get some starting money to cover gas and maintenance costs, and then do some salvaging to fund component upgrades for my main ship(s). Then I'll focus on building rep for my preferred mission loops.
4.0 will be my true return to Star Citizen since...3.18 or so some years ago. I'm most excited about exploration, and will simply make enough money to fund it, playing the game for the experience, rather than as a chore to make money. I cannot wait to explore that blue planet/moon and all entire pyro system in general. Just hope, I'll have enough fuel in my Zeus CL, as its more fun to fly, but likely my first Pyro Jump will be in the legendary Connie. I feel it's only fitting to do it in that ship, and bring an Ursa Rover, some bikes, and maybe a Fury to just go where no Citizen has gone before...
I look forward to trying out the maintenance and farming missions. Plus the screenshot hunting. I just hope they get the game in a reliable, stable state. Best wishes. Love your vids, brother.
When 4.0 drops, as a brand spankin' newbie (less than 2 weeks in) I'll be doing this same thing as I am now, loving my time figuring stuff out despite saying "wtf am I doing" repeatedly lol
Thanks for all the updates! I've been waiting to try pryo! First i'll relearn how to use my hosas. Then invite a friend to try SC while we explore Pyro and learn to mine. Perhaps even try some Matryoshka ships!
The one thing I’m looking forward to the most in Pyro or probably the new missions especially the ground missions that have us make use of ground vehicles and rep system. It will add a new dynamic to the game and somewhat of a story mode and until the actual one gets released, I’m excited can’t wait.
Their comments on the hangar logging suggest this is NOT a temporary situation. If you are in your own, personal hangar (aka home) then you stay in your hangar. This will likely be permanent, as we know their long-term goal is true persistence - i.e. you log back in wherever you log out. This is the next step towards that.
first thing Im going to do is some hauling or box running missions in Pyro, as like a tour of the system. And probably get distracted by sight seeing along the way
For 4.0 I want to try something different. Taking advantage of the fact I'll lose pretty much everything I own, I want to use my old trusted Cutter to do a "zero to hero" (well Cutter to hero?). I really want to embrace each and every minute of the grind.
I'm going to explore like crazy in the beginning and probably team up with a boddy of mine to start grinding for the big moneys and hopefully some time in the future be able to build our own base and just grow and grow and grow!! Can't wait!!
I’m either going to run to the contested zones or I’m going to try doing some cargo hauling with the new audio visual equipment from pyro to Stanton. It has a crazy 70%+ profit margin
I just can’t wait to land on an alien moon and watch the sunrise. It’s one of my favorite things in Stanton and I hopefully don’t have to imagine for much longer what the moons or Pyro will be like.
I am planning in 4.0 to have our corp bring Law to the Lawless. Holding the gate, escorting traders through, and keeping things safe for industrialists.
I will be using my newly obtained Cutlass Black to haul some cargo. Currently only brave enough to do the Baijini-Area18 loop. With a cargo hauler mech that would be much easier!
I have only pledged for an Aurora MR, so, when 4.0 goes live, I'll be focusing on increasing my balance and seeing just how well tuned this economy is. I'll probably head into Pyro after I get enough for a C8R and then see what wealth there is to plunder there.
Im going to be doing a rags to riches as soon as 4.0 goes live. Ignoring all my ships but my little Cutter. Cannot wait to follow your zero to hero series in 4.0, i will deffo be there.
I’m looking forward to the grind. Been a while since I needed auec. First thing I’m gonna do is take my reclaimer “Ravenous” out for a nice long salvage adventure lol
If you think the pushed through 5 waves of PTU in under 2 weeks just to let it sit in PTU for over a month is crazy lol. Def going live next week
Unfortunately
They do this every major update before end of year. Nothing new. It usually gets better after new years.
@ 4.0 is not just any other patch. Them getting this bad wiöö suck
They didn't even push it through the waves. They went from wave 1 pretty much straight to open PTU.
@ not a big difference between wave 1 with subscribers paying to access and open anyway
As soon as the patch drops, I'm going in to salvage everyone's ships that they abandoned
i'll be right there with ya!

CIG specifically said that the new spawning change is *NOT* a temporary change to avoid transit
In a way if your main focus is fps or to do a custom loadout for a ship you will need to travel to the areas where noc vendors are located 😀
Cargo missions. I love the simple cargo missions. And now that I can do them between 2 systems its even better.
Definitely excited to get out and truly do some off gridding! Pyro is the perfect place for that, as there will be a lot more wreckage around Pyro. Love that the risk factor is so much higher too for us out there, just living a passive life.
My first objective when 4.0 goes live is to take my Vulture through the jump gate and clean up after some of the PvP battles on the far side.
Bring some muscle too! The PVP in pyro is no joke.
