Nice job but when I built this kit only thing I airbrushed was the main fuse and wings everything else hand painted with Vallejo model air paints cuse they don't show brush strokes to much work to pull air brush out and have to clean it for a few minutes of painting when I can hand paint the whole kit in 10-15 minutes

Brilliant job and fantastic end result! Can I just ask, why did you paint the model aluminium to start? I thought you were going to chop the paint back to the aluminium but then you used a pencil?

Thank you for the kind words. The silver surface makes it easier to see cracks, scratches and other errors

P40 to taki przykład rasowego myśliwca początku wojny i trzeba by jeszcze Anglika z pustyni i sokoła Stalina do kompletu 😁
W sumie masz kolejny element do kolekcji !

You went to all that trouble to add detail and then you screwed up the paint scheme. Look at the pictures at the beginning of the video. The underside gray did not extend up the side of the fuselage under the horizontal tailplanes. It was Olive drab!

Unfortunately, I followed the painting instructions www.scalemates.com/products/img/8/5/9/1260859-50-instructions.pdf

Neat trick for using a pencil when making the canopy masks! That’s one I have never seen before!
The whole video is very good- a real showcase for the techniques used. It was very informative!
A couple of comments on the actual aircraft:
      1. P-40s did not have interior green on the fuselage underneath the rear clear panels- it was painted the same Olive Drab as the rest of fuselage around it.
      2. P-40 #284 didn’t take off at Pearl Harbor, and was written off after a crash only 6 weeks later. So it never saw combat- it is unlikely to have accumulated so much soot by the guns….
      3. The main wheel wells were lined around the sides with canvas to keep mud and other crud out. They would be an “army green” sort of color, probably a little lighter and greener than the dark olive drab. The insides of the doors, underside of wing, etc., were the yellow-ish primer color. This goes for the tail wheel well, too - that’s why the kit part where the tail wheel is inserted is molded with a lumpy sort of surface. ( The inside of the doors themselves would be the yellow primer, too.)
Given the simple nature of the kit, and the low price point, I don’t blame Airfix for not including this info in the kit- they needed to cut down on the number of paint colors for the beginner sets.
My comments aren’t meant to detract from the quality of your build and video!!! (I picked up some great tips here!). You did a great job of teaching techniques, and you can’t be expected to be an expert on every subject. I’m just passing along some info about the real plane the Airfix left out…..
