This (I think) is one of your best! Really awesome build and a treat to watch a craftsman at work! Merry Christmas from the Pacific NW and all the best for 2023
Good job on the 'Jugg'. I liked you method of doing the invasion stripes looks more realistic as I doubt the ones doing the painting would bother masking and spraying the stripes. I also liked the paint job it shows what I call 'Operational Grubbiness' for well used aircraft and yes. invasion stripes were applied to the tops and bottom of the wings as well as completely around the fuselage. Keep up the good work' looking forward to your next build.
So many Bubbletops out there, so it's nice to see you do the Razorback, which I think looks a lot more menacing. Nice build, and nice to see you doing a mostly OOB build 👍
I need to thank you for sharing this video. I'm an old man with back issues so I sit a lot. Your end results are museum quality and mine are not. But I'm learning a great deal about weathering and this video showed me more technique than many I've seen. Thank you for that!
Loved watching this build Greg, I have a newer release of this kit and the bubble top version in my stash. After watching your build I'm inspired to build mine I hope I do as good a job as yours. Merry Christmas! 🎅🎄
Hi buddy, your p-47 looks fantastic, and your figures look cool as well, mate. thank you for sharing I've got this kit in the stash makes me want to start mine. cheers Gary 🇬🇧
Totally worth the effort! Nice build... The engine ignition wires are perfect! I thought you were going to not put pilot harness in but gladly of course you did, lovely...
Nice to see another great build Greg, looks as though all the research proved beneficial. Look forward to seeing what you produce in the new year. Merry Christmas to you and yours.
So great, really fantastic Greg. Nobody's building like you do. I also like when you build those old Airfix model. Thanks for showing me/us to get better modelplanebuilder(s).
I bought both these kits they came out but only built the bubble top. I pulled this one out to finally build it and thought I’d watch some vids first. I like what you did with the wiring and will do the same, albeit with a larger gauge as you mentioned. Thanks for the video and great build!
Impressive looking Jug - love the way you tackled the stripes and the decals. Watching this vid on Boxing day morning - Xmas kits on one side and about 2 hours of washing up on the other... Suppose I'd better do the washing up first! Wishing a very Happy New Year to you and yours - thanks again for the vid.
About half way through I thought the paint job was going off the rails a bit (probably my own lack of experience showing), but man that finished result is amazing. Stunner.
A great solution to painting authentic looking invasion stripes , a very impressive result there Greg, loved the yakking video also. A nice Christmas present to all your subscribers, well done getting something out there for for the Christmas period. Merry Christmas mate And thanks for all your efforts this year , looking forward to your 2023 offerings

Hi Greg. Well, the second part was already released when I wrote a comment on the first part :D I have to say that you did a really great job with the P-47. I really enjoyed the video. Greetings, Ales
Greg, I think you should always build for you, not someone else. If you built a pink and purple P-47, I’d watch all the way through. And I learned a new technique - invasion stripes. Brush painting now seems the obvious solution now that you’ve done it.
Hi Greg very nice turned out spot on and the crew look good too shall have to remember the seat cushion looked great I've done invasion stripes on my Dacota using brush too& it gives a real look finish have a great Christmas & happy new year to alljon
Saw your Warlord Epic figures on Facebook, don't know how you have the patience, you're a master of your craft. Hope you had a good Christmas and wishing you and your family a prosperous 2023. Keep well mate👍
Initially I thought that the contrast between the older and the newer olive drab was too stark but it looks well in the end! I wonder what's the story of the smaller Jug at 20:05... 🙂
Looks very good, especially these invasion stripes are great done, figures also worth mentioning. You are very talented in painting surfaces like wood or leather. It is good to learn it from You. All the best, Merry Christmas! ;)
A nice build and good outcome. I hate the decal phase, especially if its a model with about 100 tiny decals. I really like the figure painting. Its something I am working on because I can't get them to "pop" like you and Nightshift.
Greg. I'm working on a model at the moment where your wet sanding would actually be pretty useful. Sadly, I don't have any old, worn sanding sponges lying around, so if you had to start using a new sanding pad, what grit would you reach for? 4000? 8000? I'll still test the technique on a mule before I destroy something I'm working on, but it would be good to get a gauge for where to start. Also, really liked the scheme you chose for this one, cracking job.
Literally just discovered your channel and would really like to get some of your clear plastic polishing pads you use. Never seen them before and have nasty canopies to fix. Thanks hopefully
On the figures Greg, I also bought that kit as the figures looked good. How did you get the effect of light and shade on the brown leather jacket as it is excellent and in general, could you do a simple figure paint video ie what colours do you start with and any basic tips. I am generally v average at painting period so any pointers appreciated. My default position is to paint my figures in primer and leave them!
Sweet Jug ...Greg. Thx for sharing. I'm new-ish to modeling and obsessed with learning to achieve good looking props...how did you accomplish yours - esp what black on the blades and metal for the hub ???
I always use off black on the blades, just black mixed with grey. The hubs, or small areas of silver, are usually painted by brush with Vallejo Metal Colors. The last thing I use is pastels, light grey, just lightly dabbed on the ends of the blades with fingers. Hope this helps.
This (I think) is one of your best! Really awesome build and a treat to watch a craftsman at work! Merry Christmas from the Pacific NW and all the best for 2023
Cheers, you too 👍
Excellent job building and painting your Tamiya P-47D Thunderbolt "Razorback"! Thanks for posting your video too!
Great tip regarding yellowing on decal sheet.
What a lovely build with personality if you will. Loved the over painted effect.
Awesome work! Paint scheme is quite interesting, and hand painted stripes really makes model lively!

'Not the best at figure painting'! I love the paintwork on your figures, certainly inspires me to do as well. Great work all round.
Thank you😎

Another great video and build. I always look forward to yours. Merry Christmas and a Happy New Year from an expat in Australia.
Merry Xmas and Happy New Year to you from a freezing UK👍
About half way through I thought the paint job was going off the rails a bit (probably my own lack of experience showing), but man that finished result is amazing. Stunner.
I think the same through the build. It's only at the end that it all makes sense, sometimes.😁
Really like how you did the invasion stripes on the lower wing - will probably use that technique when I do my Thunderbolt and Mustang.
Great work on those figures! Prettiest leather jacket on that officer I’ve seen done!
Thank you kindly!
Excellent video and work as always....👍🏻👌🏻👏🏻
Thank you👍
Great model Greg, best wishes to you for Christmas and happy new year from NZ

Another amazing build, delightful to watch
Excellent Build Greg! You did a great job on the figures to btw ;) ...All the best in the new year!
Initially I thought that the contrast between the older and the newer olive drab was too stark but it looks well in the end!
I wonder what's the story of the smaller Jug at 20:05... 🙂
It's a very old build that I dug out. I think If I remember right it's the Academy 1/72 kit.
That’s a thing of absolute beauty, sir…
Thank you👍
Nice job! Hope you are having a great Christmas. Thanks for a year of great videos.
Very nicely built and painted.

Great job on the paint ah, job.

You should be alright with the 4000. Just check frequently, as the water can hide the amount of paint being removed.
Literally just discovered your channel and would really like to get some of your clear plastic polishing pads you use. Never seen them before and have nasty canopies to fix. Thanks hopefully
Hopefully you got your answer on Facebook👍
Pěkná práce 👍👍👍
Hi Greg. Awesome build. What was the brush you used to paint the black between the invasion stripes. Thanks
It could have been a Soft-Grip or Sceptre Gold. But any half decent brush should do.
On the figures Greg, I also bought that kit as the figures looked good. How did you get the effect of light and shade on the brown leather jacket as it is excellent and in general, could you do a simple figure paint video ie what colours do you start with and any basic tips. I'll try and put a video together at some point👍
Brilliant idea with the stripes! Have you left the fuselage under the rear canopy deliberately unpainted?
It was painted pastel blue, looking at the reference. Don't ask why I don't know either.
Great job!
Thanks!
Man that came out nice.
Fantastic!

А чего так слабо об стол коробкой ёбнул? Надо было сильнее, с размаху! А потом удивиться чего это у тамии детали поломаны...
