Traxxas Slash 4x4 2s vs 3s GPS Top Speed Recorded!

- This is the first time I've recorded the top speed of a Slash 4x4 and I'm very impressed! This RC can really move and with its 3500KV brushless motor it's never short on power.
I'm running the high speed pinion and stock spur gear, 2s LIPO is 5000MAH and 3s LIPO is 4000MAH. Each battery gives me around 30 minutes of runtime, very impressive!

Yeah, all you do is unplug it from the ESC and the receiver and then swap out to a body without speakers if you don't want to be driving around with them inside the original body. I pulled mine out the day I got it and sold the audio control box, TSM receiver, and body for $50 plus a standard receiver and body.

Eric Thompson it's a noticeable difference. I don't have any hard numbers as far as how much time it kills, but I'd hazard a guess and say 4-5 minutes if you have the volume up all the way
I got my slash 2 days ago. I thought it would be cool to have it sound like a real truck. Truth is I dislike it very much.

You slash is really clean. I've had my 2wd for 2 days and already broke and replaced bearing carrier and back tires and almost bald. I ordered the 4x4 but it's not here yet. I'm very excited to see the difference between the two.

Great video! Do you have to use the high speed pinion when running a 3s lipo?
No need, to reach 60mph then yes. If you're bashing stay on the standard pinion otherwise it'll potentially overheat.
@@JakeBilling I plan on getting the slash 4x4 ultimate I want it to bash it but a lot of people say things overheat and break more on 3S what's your opinion? Amd what batteries do you use

Hey man. I'm planning on getting this rc but without the oba and just tsm. I've noticed that the car doesn't have any kind of legitimate cooling system for it. I was thinking about buying 2 small fans, one for the motor and one for the esc. When you run your slash, how hot does the motor typically get?

if your doing speed runs don't use stock tyres they are rubbish and ballon out slowing you down and the stock body dose the same acting like a parachute I also recommend a assortment of tyres and wheels depending on what your doing.

why does he not have Traxxas link app. it tells you the speed your going and a lot of stuff. with those cars in which u have the iq technology provide Bluetooth

Hey i have a question, when I speed run my trx slash 4x4 its front wheels start to shake s high speeds, why is that?
RC and stuff hey mate i had the same problem but it a easy fix. Turn don ur stability management to about 50 to 25% and if it doesnt fix it it means ur hex is loose

gamerzgalore the fan isn’t smh its traxxas one u buy seperate a it doesnt come its the car also reading (keep out of water and dirt) meaning it not water proof (dirt is ok as long a u clean it)

Hi there, the audio is made by something called onboard audio. There was a time where you could purchase the traxxas slash 4x4 with OBA (onboard audio)
Don't forget the phone counts for more weight. Borrow a radar gun next time from your local state trooper.

18t Pinion, stock is 13t.

+Daniel Mcdonald mine came with 13 and 18. If you change the spur from 54 to 50 it is stupid fast. I even bought a 21t pinion and went 21/50. That is just dumb though.

On my 4x4 slash I didn't notice a big difference in speed between the stock battery and a 2 cell but a 3 cells it's a monster
John # the nimh and a 2s really ain't a difference just 2s is longer run time the 3s is a speed boost and longer run time

My slash goes faster than that with 2s mate I got 92 kph (60 mph)
