The way the thing glitches to a stop, is because the pinion gear is too tight. U will get way faster top speed if u run a piece of paper through the gear before tightening the motor lock bolt
How the heck did you get 76 mph on that gearing with a 3500 kv 1/10 scale velinion system that's 4 pole....?????? I have a slash 4wd mcg chassis and on 19 pinion 54 spur I'm doing 58.9 mph maxed out.
@@lucabazzocchi8237 Well since this comment I hit 70.2 mph on 3S with my Slash 4x4 Vxl which has that mid center gravity chassis on it and the TQI Traxxas remote. On a 3S 40-50C rated lipo I got 66-70 mph...... but this was done with mod 1 gears...... it ran hot after 2-3 passes...... mod 1 20 tooth pinion and a mod 1 36 tooth spur. 20/36 will guarantee 68-70+ mph and 20:40 will get 65-67 mph. On regular 32 pitch 19/54 I was getting 57-62 mph sometimes about 63 maxed out.

+BRICECUBE83 it looks like the 3s battery was a small MAH that makes a big difference in speed runs.the 2s speed was good because it was a 5000mah 50c that is 250amps if that 3s looked around 3300mah size at 30c is 99amp which is no where near enough for that system to get full amps.

You're supposed to be able to put a small strip of paper between the pinion and spur, roll the truck until the paper goes all the way around the gears then take out the paper and the paper should NOT tear or have rips in it. Then you know it's set right

I'm waiting for a laser thermometer I ordered so I can make sure I'm not running to hot. She did 47.7 mph but if she is running above 160 (temp) I'll go lower on my pinion.
My Huanqi 727 (Traxxas slash 4x4 clone) with a Goolrc 60a esc and 3800kv brushless motor does 45mph on stock gear on a 2s 4200mah 30c zop power lipo and 61mph on a 3s 2800mah 60c zop power lipo. Amazing car for 25% of the Traxxas price!
+joel cuevas thanks i found out after the video when i got home my mesh was to tight so i lost alot of speed and it shreaded my spur gear lesson learned but no more chance to try i sold my slash a month ago
yes yes i know your not the first person and i did notice it while i was making the video but i really did not feel like going back home just to fix the problem over all it did great for speed but would have been way faster had i noticed the problem before hand.

@@noahsparks2439 he didnt properly mesh the spur to the pinion. It's way to tight which is really bad for the motor because its causing binding.

its stock brushless out of the box other hten the pinion gear how ever the mesh was to tight or it would have been quiet and alot faster
