I made the same choice, I love the sound of the Remus! I'm only sorry I didn't make the video of the assembly, but your explanations are perfect, great job.
My thought on loud cars is so long as you're not doing it super early or doing it at night, it isn't a problem and people who get mad will always be mad about something. Still I would really like a switching exhaust for when I start work at 6AM, my exhaust is SO LOUD when it starts up, as soon as it's a bit warmer, it's so quiet you can barely hear it unless you floor it or put it in eco mode which is way louder than sport (probably due to turbo engagement?)
Fitted a Ragazzon an hour ago and thought I'd look around for similar, I unfortunately have a bit of blow from 1 of the joints, Would you think I'm just not tightening the bracket enough(I have it as tight as I can with the 14" wrench I was using) or need to separate it and use some sealant gunk? Any advice appreciated :)
You're right! We did try it, but on the Mini leaving anything plugged into the OBD port with the car locked sets the alarm off! You have to buy something like Bimmercode to disable the OBD security on the alarm unfortunately, if you want to use the OBD adapter and leave it plugged in. I forgot to mention that in the video.
Unfortunately Mini Cooper’s built from 2018 onwards have a GPF in the exhaust which is illegal to remove and will fail MOT. You can get a Remus axle/GPF back but it won’t bring about the pops and bangs.
carbon tips have never been my thing on any car. do they hide the soot, yes, but carbon requires different cleaning processes to keep it nice. plus, from far away, they just look black.
It's not slightly louder - the pops in sport mode sound like gunshots with the valve open, video doesn't do it justice. But it's still possible to set off to work at 6 in the morning with the valve shut without pissing the neighbours off. Can't really do that with just hacking out the res.

another neighbourhood made happy! hehe
That's fantastic!
Great video! It is not to loud even with valve closed because of the resonator delete?
With the valve closed it's not much louder than stock. It's great for daily driver, early starts etc
Hello, great video! Can you help me with understanding what you bought for this set up please? 😬
How did you manage to get your hands on that exhaust? What website did you use? I went onto the Remus website and all their prices are in euros.

which model of resmus do you bought?
Did you disconect the battery before?
hey where did you buy yours from? I see so much online would love your recommendation
i hear a much more noticeable turbo spool and flutters. is there anything else done besides i’m assuming the cold air. and exhaust?
Just the ITG panel filter and Remus valved exhaust. Nothing else done!
@@JamesBalazs okay cool. thanks for the reply! 👌🏽
Nice🎉
Got a link to a product page for the Remus?
I really don't like how the factory exhaust is all 1 piece to the DP.
hii.. u didnt use the obd connector?

Hi, what kind of lift bridge are you using?
QuickJack!
What car lift you use ?
It's a QuickJack lift 🙂
Have you got a link to where I can buy the same exhaust for my 23plate cooper s
You won’t get same results for cooper s built after 2018. They have opf

All this for a slightly louder exhaust, just cut the resonator off job done
