  • Hi guys! Thank you for watching this BEGINNERS Spray Paint Art Tutorial - Episode 09 (Clouds). In this ninth video in the series, I'm going to be showing you how to make a basic cloud stencil by using a piece of card and ripping it and then how to add clouds to your painting. I'll also be adding a sun to the painting which will have some of the clouds behind and in front of it to show you how to layer the clouds.
    Below is the list of materials I have used,
    Something to spray paint on like Gloss card or a Canvas or whatever you are going to use to paint on.
    Black and White spray paint (Montana White)
    Yellow, Orange, and Red Spray paint (Montana White)
    A Lid to use as a stencil to make your Sun
    Something to sign your work with
    A mask
    Some gloves
    Spare piece of card ( To make the cloud stencil)
    Clearcoat spray paint (to wet the paint back up)
    I hope you will enjoy watching and find this ninth video in the beginners spray paint series helpful, If so please consider subscribing to my channel, and don't forget to ring the bell so you know when I upload new video's and please LIKE and SHARE the video it'll be much appreciated :)

    I tried your technique, thank you very much. It came out very good. If I could share something I learned it would be to stay away from the ends/edges/straight side parts of the stencil. I wasn’t careful a few times, and I ended up with a vertical line. I was able to cover it. Thank you again so much.

      Hi Michel, Thank you very much for watching and for taking the time to leave this comment and great feedback it’s very much appreciated:) yes watch out for the ends, I’ve done that before :) or you could make one that’s a bit wider then what you are painting on, that way no straight lines :)

    Hi Jon! I love your videos and am hoping to follow the beginner tutorial series. However, I am having trouble finding a mask. What type do you recommend getting and where should I get it from?

      Hi Jordan, Thank you so much for the kind words and for taking the time to leave this comment and feedback I really appreciate it :) It's also nice to hear you love my video's :) The mask i use is a 3M 7502 mask which has replacement filters, so they can be changed when needed, i find it really good to use, I brought mine from the internet, Just search 3M masks and hopefully you be able to find somewhere that have some for sale hope this helps :)

    • @JonBarberArt
      @JonBarberArt  3 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      Hi David, Thank you for taking the time to leave this comment and question I really appreciate it :) The caps i'm using on the cans are the stock caps that come with the cans when you buy them, but if you just want caps i would just look on the internet for spray paint suppliers that sells caps :) hope this helps.
