Man this song takes me back to my childhood in the late 70s! I was 16 years old when this song came out! I used love listening to this song so much I ended up buying the album! Another great song from that album you girls should listen to is “Bloody well right” loved the reaction young ladies!👌😎👍👉♥️keep’em coming! Ohh forgot to mention another song from them! Please consider it! The title is “it’s raining again”. They have many great songs!

@@jimkenpig hello there. Sad to say, my mom passed away January of 2021. It was sudden and not expected. I have dealt with all areas of grief. I am okay! I think if my mom was still here, she would see how much fun you are, like I do. Your humor always cheers me up, when I am down. Thank you for just being you! 💗

Supertramp is live. Listen "Oh Darling", "Breakfast in America" or "Take Long Away Home" or "The Logical Song". "Lady", "Give me a little bit" and "School" are great too.

Supertramp were a marvellous band: you can enjoy most of the content of most of their albums: especially Crime of the Century, Crisis? What Crisis?, Even in the Quietest Moments, Breakfast in America and Famous Last Words. All songs from any of these albums are great!
The style was called Synphonic Rock because of the harmonies and many of the different sounds they could get out of a synthesizer, which were huge in the late 70s and early 80s.
Hi! Ladies! besides their first album indelibly stamped this is definitely their best work! When I saw them in concert for this album they had a giant screen and they took us on a big long train ride through London I think you can see it on TH-cam! Cool choice!

Oh young ones. This is a very amazing band. I seen them in the late 70's and still remember the show. You did pick out an awesome tune. Check out every song you can from these artists.

Girls, I've been playing keyboards/piano for 30 years and have an A.A. in music. Most songs are easy for me 2 figure out, but half the stuff Supertramp wrote? Uh-Uh..I'd have 2 find the sheet music charts for 'em. With 3 guys that could switch up on instruments and sing, no wonder. Best song about dreaming I've ever heard my whole life_xcellent pick!!

You must listen to their album "Breakfast in America". You can pick a song any song off of the album and you will thoroughly enjoy reacting to it. my favorite is the title track "Breakfast in America" and "Goodbye Stranger" , however your dad may not let you listen to Goodbye Stranger, which is there very best. (According to Andy and Alex reviews).

I'm so glad you have come across Supertramp! Such a great band, with A LOT of top-notch songs. I think they could become a favorite band for both of you. You'll enjoy your Supertramp journey, for sure. Your lyrics interpretation was right on and, pianist that she is, I'm glad Mia got to hear the Wurlitzer! This particular Supertramp album has some other outstanding tunes: "School" -- I would love Mia to hear the piano in that one; "Rudy" is amazing, as is "Hide in Your Shell". From other albums I suggest "The Logical Song", "Take the Long Way Home", "Goodbye Stranger", "Breakfast in America", "Give a Little Bit" and 2 personal favorites, though they weren't big hits, are "Don' Leave Me Now" and "Downstream". Enjoy!!
In England, at a school playground, you taunt others with that "na na nee na na" voice, which is what Supertramp recreated in the song

The live version in Paris 1979 is amazing, and in the same concert are "Fool's Overture", "Rudy", "The Logical Song", "Bloody Well Right", "Child of Vision", "Breakfast in America"...
Similar to what Juliet and Mia were saying later in their reaction, it's always seemed to me that the song is about being dismissed by others as a "dreamer" as if being one is a pathetic fault. I think that explanation fits well with the rest of the album. Juliet & Mia should do reactions to all the other songs on this truly great album. I particularly like to hear their reaction to "Rudy" and "Hide in Your Shell".

you really need to react to Supertramp by finding their live in Paris recordings from 79. School, Breakfast in America, Logical Song, Take the Long Way Home... The live versions are all s much better than their studio recordings. School would be a fun one since we are about to start up again.

That was cool ladies. My half brother used to play Supertramp around the house when I was a kid. That was funny watching your reaction to the sounds of the the music panning from the right speaker to the left.
Another great song like that is the orchestral version of "I'm Free" by the Who.
While I like this original studio version very much, I LOVE the live version (from their double album live set, Paris) that they hit the charts with in the U.S. I'd suggest giving that version a listen, too!

He was an old rag and bone man and would pick up all sorts of stuff supertramp was one of the LPs years later I was listening to dreamer around my mates I said who’s this then he said supertramp I thought I’ve got that in my pile of records I said to my mate I’ve had that for years he didn’t believe me so I went home and got it we played it it was brand new and I became a bit of a fan lovely reaction from the best in the biz all my luck and regards T

Dreamer is one of my favs, this album came out when I was 15 and Dreamer is one of my favs. They have so many great songs as listed below plus Hide in your shell, It's raining again, School, Rudy and the Logical song to name a few oh and of course Breakfast in America!
Promise you'll enjoy ANY track you pick off this album. Go for it.
So many different paths you can travel within the Supertramp catalog. Two different singer songwriters with the own unique style and voice. That song didn't introduce you to the very talented sax / woodwind player in the band yet.

Rodger Hodgson has a very distinctive voice that automatically identifies any song done by Supertramp.
I was 12 when first heard this song...it opened me up to a lot of other music(I only liked heavy metal till then) I am 51 now lol

No lead guitar in this group... very unusual at this time. Hope you will do another one.....
They didn't need a full time lead guitar player, Roger handled all the lead parts on the songs that need a lead, he played the lead on Bloody Well Right through Goodbye Stranger. He also plays the 12 string acoustic on Give a Little Bit.
@@randyharbaugh7819 I know that but at this time, most of the groups were composed of a singer (who could also play an instrument) with a guitar, a bass, a drummer and a keyboard sometime..... That's all I'm saying. Supertramp didn't follow that, that's why I say they had an unusual composition.
