Coming home, before to do my homework, I used to listen deep purple, pink floyd, Led Zep, Georges Harrison and Jethro tull.... few years later arrived Supertramp, Rush and Barclay James Harvest. Thank you to remember me all these nice moment.... I'm happy you enjoy it too!
Progressive rock is my favorite genre of music. So much great music from the '70s and '80s. I saw Supertramp live a couple times in that period. You seem intrigued by this genre. There are so many bands for you to explore. Keep at it!
The greatest crime of the century is the RHOF ignoring one of the best rock bands in history. I enjoy your reactions. So great to see younger people listening to great prog rock!
Supertramps music has no age barriers. All 8 of my children grew up listening to them and never a complaint ! They really show their talents with the song Rudy. It's a great roller coaster ride. I believe it's time to get back to them for another thrill ❤
great song choice , elok , listen to the live version of this song with orchestra , you wont be disapointed , glad your reaction to different genres of music !
Welcome back, dear Elok Hsu! It's always good to see you, though I know we all understand that school comes first. ♥ Love your new ring, my friend. It speaks of your unique personality. ☺ There is so much more to hear from Supertramp. Although their most successful album was 1979's Breakfast In America, their best works are two of the top albums from the decade - Crime Of The Century and Even In The Quietest Moments. Every track is a classic! Supertramp wasn't strictly Prog, even as they were more of a Prog light. They also incorporated elements of several different styles, including Jazz, Pop, Classical, Rock and Funk, as well as a little influence from Pink Floyd. Their sound was completely unique to them. You're were right the first time about modern music. It IS lame. And the Rock 'n' Roll Hall is a joke.
also , i dont know if you havent heard of the rest of the music from this group but i hope you do , they are super talented , look up their greatest hits , just an amazing , again you wont be disapointed
Hi E, Great group and song, I saw some of your videos on your trip and your ring is nice♥and also react to The Logical Song, Take the Long Way home and Bloody Well Right
It's an early example of synth-pop(we have here mostly modulated Wurlitzer piano, which gives these electronic sounds, but real synths seem to be in use as well).
Glad to see you back, Elok. You're right about the music of that time - the variety, the creativity, and the sheer genius that was put to vinyl back then was unparalleled. You must have a list of recommendations a mile long but I'm going to give you another one! Be sure to check out Foghat - Fool for the City and Slow Ride are awesome songs. As always, rock on Elok!
Elok, nice ring! Do not be upset if anyone dislikes it. Life is too short. Shrug and carry on as there is no accounting for people's tastes. Cheers from Canada.
Wow, remembered from the 1980's. I was doing my apprenticeship when Supertramps album Breakfast in America came out. Yes, dreamers, I have known many including myself. But making dreams become a reality is what life is all about, so that is what I did. Supertramp had some excellent songs. The word you are looking for Elok is creative. In that time each groups songs were akin to them. That meant a rich diversity of sounds. Commercialisation of music started the sausage machines pumping out the same old rubbish reliant on electronic back beats and synthesised sounds. Songs began to sound like the same old boring drivel. That is how we moved from 95% decent music, 5% rubbish to 95% rubbish and 5% decent music. There is no creativity if all that is happening is the same old boring crap is being churned out of the music factory. Nobody understood that variety is the spice of life, and that music without creativity was uninteresting and dull.
O Supertramp e o Uriah Heep são as bandas mais subestimadas do ProgRock. E o futuro sobre o qual você falou que as pessoas iriam descobrir o Supertramp já chegou. Você é a prova disso.

You are Wise beyond your Y'Ears young lady 🎶 💯 keep being true to yourself (:
The album Crime of the Century, which this song is from is Supertramp's masterpiece. Every song displays their capabilities.
Supertramp is a very forgotten band and very underrated. Thank you for bringing them to your channel

My favorite Supertramp Album. Crises, What Crisis, and Even in the Quietest Moments are their best Prog albums.

There's nothing cuter than a cutie pie reacting to a cute song!
And I love your cute little finger next to your lips!
