Very well done, great control ! If you want to improve control and minimize muscle fatigue, get lower with your shoulders, it's a lot easier to maintain high speed positions. Also, keeping legs inside the harness till last turn is finished gives a more controlled final enter.
Trying to follow you mate. Do you think I can go faster? A bit of flutter develops between my 5th and 6th batton you can see that. So, I should loosen the shoulder angle further right? I tried at altitude coming down fast pulling up and then turning but I don’t think my glider can retain enough energy to pull up and do a turn without slipping
@@BariFPV Well, you can go as fast as the glider allow you but I was talking about control, getting slower with your shoulders will make the whole process a lot easier and natural, in the future we will also talk about hooks but one step at time
So basically like you said last time for landing you totally loosen your shoulder strap/head height. I should loosen it further so my head can basically dip below my feet level?
@@BariFPV trim lower and give it a try, with a flex 2 you won't go a lot negative but during dives will be easier to stay with your chest near the bar having more authority on the glider.
Nice job on these. I like that you come in with good speed and control your transition up, followed by good flares! Always make sure your VG is off for landing which it probably was.
So cool man. I'd love to do this. I think I told you before I have a hang glider and I've never got the training for it. It must be a buzz getting up high then coming in for landing 👌🙌🍻
Wicked Bari, just as you are approaching to land and your just feet from the ground, has it already started slowing down or is the the same speed still when up and cruising? The landing that finished at 4:22 look real smooth!
So once I am in ground effect (feet above the ground) the glider starts to slow because I start to raise the nose before slowing enough to push out for full stall and flare and land.
Thanks mate. These landings are just for some speed fun. HG pilots don't normally land like this :) I try to hit 100+ on my downleg before I turn for the final and then zip over ground effect.
:) I also saw the new vlog you posted, haven't gotten through it. It's about skill share. And I meant about forecasted wind velocity at different altitudes not what vario is showing in real time.
@@BariFPV Tom is an xc champ and Horacio is 10times World acro champ. Both r coming to Pakistanfor past 20 years. For sometime they r trying to summit K2 on PG. We had alot to learn from them. I do check the weather forecast on windy/windfinder etc and also check with a Pilot already flying in that area to get a little overview on what to expect. Muzaffarabad is like 4hrs drive from isb so I always expect sometime over 1 hr to the least.
@@ParaglidingChronicles 4 hours is a long drive. So 8 hours return drive time? And an hour of flying mhm don't know how to make the eyes wide open/disbelief emoticon but that looks fitting :)
Ghidini style!!! Now all you have to do is make that downwind leg inches from the ground, then a wingover for the base leg into final.... Especially when conditions aren't soarable (ie smooth air) Blue Sky Flight Park is really good for practicing many many landings.
Trust me I've tried doing that but for that need a topless. You can see in the first couple of clips I have wing flutter starting on the trailing edge so I'm getting quite close to my top speed. But again, Garda LZ is in steps so the low fly by is higher than where Ghidini lands. I'm getting close to Ghidini style right? :)
Yes, and look at the VG! I land with almost half VG. The flutter isn't bad, but I can start to feel it so I think I'm quite close to max speed. Before the turn is complete I am almost in ground effect and the glider goes quite a long way. It doesn't go half as much with normalish landing speeds :)
@@BariFPV I'm going on a hang gliding course in South Africa as soon as the wind starts blowing southwards. I was going to try paragliding but hang gliding looked a bit more exciting so I just searched up hang gliding and sorted my most recent and this video came up. Good job
Haha. Never fancied slow approaches. Just love the thrill of being super fast in ground effect that's why I carry as much speed as I can. Notice almost half VG :)

Good controlled landing with speed. Very nice. Also location looks so nice.
Thank you so much. Most of the landings were at Blue Sky Flight park in Virginia.
Yeeeeeez my favorite part of flying..
I get my speed fix from landings

Hi John, thank you so much.
Great landings there Bari. 👍👍👍
Thanks mate :)
very impressive , you've honed your skills nicely . love the speed
I push it enough until flutter develops and look at the VG :) I land with at least half VG, works best for me.
Where is this - Blue Sky near Richmond ?
That's correct, last one is Raven's Haven PA.
I'm no expert, but I'm pretty sure the nose is supposed to impact the ground at the end? ☺
Hehe funny :)

It's the closest one could feel like a real bird and often the soaring birds come and join you. Which glider do you have?
This was mental dude! Crazy fast landings! Would love to do this too some day 🙌🏻
I like to come in as fast as I can. It's really an experience, try it you'd love it.
Don't wait, git'r done. I'm a reformed RCer
Nice! That did look pretty darn fast but I can see the look of confidence.
Hehe it's my eagle face 😝 if you look at other HG landing videos you'll see how much faster it is :)
Veri nice
Ayaz please share :)
Sick bazza 😉
Looks like your living your best life 😀
Sweet landings bro...my face would of been dragging on the grass lol
LoL even the best amongst us have belly flops :) so no worries. Any landing you walk away from is a good one :)
