    I have the Trailhead II cot. I ended up getting a lighter 1/2 the weight Roll-a-Cot. All my gear has to fit in my little trailer I pull behind my motorcycle. I also use an Exped for the mattress and a Nemo Wagontop 4P tent.

    Nicely done. I have the T4 Overland that has the better stakes and bag. Also the ground cover / footprint. Gazelle makes great tents. I still need to get one of those rugs for the entrance. Great idea. Wow that’s a lot of room in the T8. Thanks.

    Really like the look of the T8. Friends of ours have the T4 but as my daughter gets older I could see the T8’s extra space and partition being nice to have. Just subbed & thanks for sharing!

    I grew up sleeping on a Army cot while camping and used wool blankets as insulation under my sleeping bag - then i graduated to Marine tents and cots and shelter halves while serving in 1968 - u dont need wool blankets in the jungles of Southeast Asia lol

    When it comes time to setting up or tearing down the cots, if you are able to take them in and out of the tent when they are fully set up, the easy trick to getting that last hole locked in, is to stand up, place your feet on the bottom (unhooked) pole, and use your arms near the top to top of the cot to move it and place it in. All you are really doing is creating a larger lever, but you have to have the vertical space to do that in.

    Do yourself a favor. Cut the seam from the top, to the bottom. and sow in a zip. Its much easier to insert the stretcher and zip it up. No string issues

    I would love to buy one of those Gazelle T8... but I can't do THAT much ORANGE...
    Hurts my eyes... Do they come in any other colors???

    • @cnug5948
      @cnug5948 2 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      Yes, they come in a green as well. I have been kind of looking up the T4 Plus. Same footprint as the T8, but one of the rooms is more of a screened in porch, or a second room. But the front doors are a larger walk through style.

      We found the green to be dark on the inside. We went with the orange for that reason.

    Did you water proof the seams or take any other steps to waterproof?

    Does the tent has a power cord slot inside the tent if you want to run a generator outside to give you power inside? For setting up a Tv or portable Ac

      No. We ran it out the bottom of the door.

      @@amberb9764 That sucks. I seen a lot of tents with those special cut out slots for your power cords. But it still seems like a pretty good tent and it’s definitely one that I would consider getting. Thank you

    Why don't you try to putting the cot into the bag.....and not trying to put the bag over the cot?

    • @amberb9764
      @amberb9764  2 ปีที่แล้ว

      Good thought- we tried it and just felt is was harder that way. Definitely worth a try both ways though.
